IMY You could so esily be describing how I feel. Except I am a procrastinator!
Your last ebay project was massive and no wonder you got fed up, it was extreme ebaying. Clearing out rooms and so forth will not generate as much volume and anyway aren't ebay limiting non power-sellers to 100 items a month now (although you may be one)
The debt, no it wont shift overnight, but I truely believe and have seen it too many time on this site, fortune follows the brave. So you have been brave and faced up to your debts and the fortune (in whatever manner it chooses to come in) is/and will continue to follow.
Think about concentrating on getting kids clothes sorted and on your Next card, the rest, sadly will be waiting for you!

There is no point in negative thought, it takes up time and energy which could be used in a positive, happy way!

Morning, sorry you feel overwhelmed but don't try and do everything at once. You need to adopt the Flylady mantra of babysteps (check out her website, she is one inspirational lady).
As for extra money making - there is the $64 million question. I know lack of time is a problem, but could you put your running expertise to some use? Maybe personal training or setting up a running club for kids? Think of what you are good at - work or hobbies and see if there is a way you could do extra..... Maybe the answer is right under your nose.
Sorry, I know that's probably not much helpYou are doing well, but it's a relentless slog and no wonder you get despondent from time to time. Chin up and keep trying - something will work out and make you rich! x

Thank you but it is true. I have so many diaries where people have been so low and something turns up, be it a payrise, more charges repaid than we thought we would get, cheaper car insurance to save on, or even just a little windfall.
We are working damn hard at this debt busting and it is acknowledged! (Very profound LOL)LBM Feb 2010 £62,700 Total Debt Jan 11 [STRIKE]£49,403.84[/STRIKE] £47,530.32.

Thank you both, just don't see how I'm going to get to top of it all and wave a flag of victory! I am also more than aware that the CC deals are due to run out , suppose I will just have to start making the phone calls to try and get a decent deal - aarggghhhh - but I guess at least I know the bigger picture.
Macgirl - I have thought about doing what I know about, but I would need to do some training to get into coaching children and I don't know whether I could charge as our running club is free and I would feel bad about it.
Am going to look a wholesale website I've seen and have a think outside the box - fingers crossed!
Have already identified after Next is the loan which is £1,600 so at least I have some idea of what I want to do.1st debt - Next [STRIKE]£583.32[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£408.71 [/STRIKE] £0 :j

Has OH heard about his bonus yet? Did you ever write your article - I reckon you could get a few bob from that - try Grazia, they always carry those stories and you are target market. I'm sure you've have some success at that - you could offer to write a weekly/monthly diary too! PMA and you will get there0

Funnily enough I emailed Grazia last night with an article but I don't expect many people would be that interested in my life!
We are supposed to get his bonus next month and he "says" it is going to be in the region of £3,5k after tax but we have been here before and it wasn't and we were disappointed. Also due approx £1300 for mileage allowance but again not holding out much hope. If we go that money we would use some to pay for the holiday, keep some to do some odd jobs and the rest would be towards the debt so may have £3k to go off the debt?
OH has just got up and he has agreed to help me brainstorm as well and we are going to think of something that we can do together - just what??1st debt - Next [STRIKE]£583.32[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£408.71 [/STRIKE] £0 :j

76 months? That's just over 6 years.......and means that if you take the full amount of time, you will be reducing your debt at an average rate of £1000 per month.
If that is the worst case scenario as the snowball shows it, then that is not such a bad thing - it is something to be proud of.
Yes, it would be nice to pay it all off in 3 years.....or 4 years....but if it takes 6, then is it the end of the world?
I have lost count of the number of times I have tried to kid myself I can pay of double the debt in a third of the time.....but invariably I am just building myself up for a fall in the process....and when that fall occurs, I feel very low and demoralised indeed, and "forget" how far I have already come and the progress that I continue to make.
Now, I am back to paying minimums only, apart from £100 overpayment on the mortgage where I am trying to catch up a previous mortgage "holiday". My snowball says that my debt free date is another 19 months away......add that to the 41 months I have already done since being on MSE, and I won't be far away from your snowball target.
Of course, this time last year, I was expecting to be debt free by now - then I said debt free by 40 (November) then by Easter next year.......but actually, as long as I get debt free, and don't add to it, then I am finally learning to accept that it takes time, and energy, and sometimes I don't have any excess of either to make it happen any quicker!
It will have taken me 5 years to get debt free from the time I had my LBM......longer than perhaps I would have liked, but 5 years, to clear £100k at horrific rates of interest......actually, that's not so bad is it!
Keep going - concentrate on getting that Next card down, then chip off the next one. You will get there, but I fully understand the swimming through treacle feeling you have right now.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. God, no it is not - it's brilliant! I would be so daunted by the prospect of even trying to pay off that amount of money it would take me 5 years to get my head round the idea!
And IMD, 5 years is nothing either, in terms of how much you would like to pay off. I will bet that you will be able to reduce the length of time it takes you to pay off, but you might be best not to put so much pressure on yourself to define how much less time that will be, and just take it as a pleasant surprise as you go along. I completely think it's possible, though. Please call me 'Pickle'
