Oh, finally got to reading the end of Craig's "contributions". Well done Hypno et al!
Must ask though, what was all that about BP's oil spill and its effect on future pension payments? Sounds interesting...Please call me 'Pickle'

Hypno & Macgirl - thank for fighting my corner in my absence. Clearly I have offended Craig, although why he has nothing better to do than be on a DFW board when he has no debts is beyond me?1st debt - Next [STRIKE]£583.32[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£408.71 [/STRIKE] £0 :j

Morning IMD,
I am in the same place as you this weekend. I have swapped my "stress head " for my "worry head" . I too have been awake worrying about money , and I too have said to DH that we need to earn some more money. We will both get there ... eventually:)
Hope you all have a nice day.:)

Pickle, BP's oil spill won't affect pension payments per se.....but it is having a severe effect on the share price of one of our biggest companies, at a time that markets are already seeing uncertainty due to the Election, the financial state of Greece, Portugal, Spain etc, the unknown cost of the volcanic ash fiasco, blah blah blah.
Most pension funds, investment trusts, and unit trusts, will hold a significant amount of BP - they are an ideal stock - capital growth and an income yield of 5% + so if the spillage leads to prolonged depression of the share price, the media will be spouting on about "billions wiped off the stockmarket" which can cause panic in an already volatile market.......which could depress the price of BP further, but also could knock other share prices too.
Of course, if you are a mere youngster, you will go through these cycles of volatility several times over before you draw your pension - recessions, economic booms, currency crises will all come and go......Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Ah well there's nothing like an angry person to start a debate! I am clearly going through an identity crisis as a bankrupt male!
What I don't get, is if I was debt free and lucky enough to have savings, the last thing I would do is come on here and post stupid things. I would get on with my own life - why don't you do the same?
Quite frankly Craig I don't care what you think, I have my debt for my own reasons. I don't owe you anything, unless you are Sir Branson or Mr Barclaycard. Go and find a banker who got a huge bonus during the debt crisis and take it out on them instead of berating me for borrowing too much and paying it back on time month after month. I have never claimed benefits or anything else, I do not default in payments and I am responsible for my mess, so stop trying to implicate I make a difference in your life.
I'm not hurting you, and believe me, you do not offend or upset me in any way as I just choose to ignore your stupid comments. I just thank God that I don't know you personally with your shallow unfounded views about someone you don't even know.
Jog on and close the door behind you.1st debt - Next [STRIKE]£583.32[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£408.71 [/STRIKE] £0 :j

Interesting. How do you think each of the parties getting in will affect share prices Hypno?

I admit I do have a touch of the Scarlet O'Hara's from time to time! My favourite line is "Frankly my dear, I couldn't give a rat's As$!"0 -
As I've nothing better to do with my life I have read a few of Craig's posts and I will not feel singled out by him, he appears to have told numerous people to screw themselves in the last 24 hours - I feel left out! Clearly is a nice man!
