You are all completely right of course and how stupid of me to think otherwise :D instead of thinking I need it gone now, I need to think less far ahead. So my aim is to get to £69,999 by June and to be under £70k and have come that far will be amazing. I think I can only truly say I budgeted to the extreme at the beginning of last month, so despite my LBM being August I think it was just the dimmer switch.

Feel loads better about ebay decision, we all sat down last night and DD said it was ages since we had all sat in the same room watching TV and messing about, and she was right. And for the first weekend in ages I have got up with no ebay to do. Am actually in the middle of a huge blitz. Upstairs is sparkling, just got to clean windows downstairs and do the kitchen. Third lot of washing on with two lots drying outside and sheets changed. Hoping this mean aside from the mere matter of a half marathon I am doing in the morning, tomorrow after noon will be some much needed R&R!

Out with friends tonight as well so looking forward to that, now need to convince DS that nakedness since 8am is really not the most attractive thing.....

I am glad that you have come to a decision that you feel comfortable with - ebay will still be there when you want to go back to it.

  • On the camping holiday plan, I am the least "camping" type person you could hope to meet (never like to be too far away from my hairdryer...) - and yet...and yet...I LOVE IT! Well, when I get there, as packing to go is always a strain, and the cooking can be a challenge it's true (though when you get it right it's hard to beat)...and don't even get me started on the mess that gets into the tent....but, to be outdoors, in midsummer, with a glass of something sparkling, and family and friends all around you... it makes you glad to be alive, it really does. And if you get a light sprinkle of rain on your tent when you're tucked up at night (and even better if it's cleared by morning...)...well, that's just the last word in cosyness. So, as you can tell, am quite a camping fan myself.

Just back on here to report for duty :D Took me 1hr 51 so pretty pleased, tough though and ended up being really warm. How I'll do twice that distance is completely beyond me.....

Hadn't had the best pre-race night as we went out with friends. we were a bit  when we saw the bill but we had actually set the right money aside as a treat and we did enjoy ourselves. Just meant we had a late night and then clocks changing etc.

Am now collapsed on the settee wondering why I do these things to myself......
