Back after my moody few days.......
Updated signature, not brilliant but it's going downwards rather than upwards so all is good. Had to divert some debt money to pay a few other things this month and also had to take some Balance Transfer fees and interest on the chin which was slightly painful but all but one debt on an interest paying card now, so will work on that balance to try and reduce it a tad.
Am currently packing up a load of stuff for the post office for ebay. Me and OH have agreed to work out the profit we (I) are making on ebay to see if it is really worth it as it really is reducing my fun in life! May try match betting instead as less time consuming, will see how the next batch goes as I am going to up the prices a little as well.
Worked out the end of the month, only went over food budget by £11!! this month and £22on general spends! :j All the unexpected items were paid for by ebay so we have not had to borrow :j
Still a bit down, wish I could just have a day when I don't repeat £70,000 over and over in my head. Didn't help OH having his strop this week and lecturing me about how quick we spend it and now have to take ages to pay it back

IMD you're doing so well, and we're all entitled to off days every now and again.........even DH's
Only 1 day to the weekend so even if not completely relaxing you won't have to do the day job :T
Sounds like a wise move to re-evaluate. I am just getting back into the matched betting after about a year away. I hope you've got the grey matter in good order to try it :rotfl:
Hope you had fun at the post officeNatwest Card 27.06.10 (reduce every month) £267.63

The numbers are going in the right direction. You are almost within budget. You have one additional income stream and can swap it for another.
All pretty good stuff. that £70k will soon be in the 60s.....and so on. Believe me, it DOES happen!!

Hey IMD, don't often post but I have subscribed. It does get to the stage where you think you are never going to get into the next bracket we were loitering at 32k for ages. You are tantalisingly close to 73k, it will happen.

Chin up Hun. Maybe you need to think "bigger". It was you who inspired me with the old Cosmic Ordering, so I know you are in tune with that kind of thing.
Did you get a response from the magazines regarding your article? I thought that was a great idea and perhaps more "Outside the box" thinking is in order.
Are there other outlets for your sales than Ebay? (which is a PIA packaging and posting) - NCT sales or classes etc?
Could you use your love of running to coach people? So money making is not such a chore?
Sorry if none of that helps, I know it may seem a bit bonkers - but what's to lose?
Well done on not increasing the debt. That in itself is an achievement0 -

There is no point in negative thought, it takes up time and energy which could be used in a positive, happy way!

Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you. Feeling better in that I have actually decided I am not ebaying anymore. Pricing up the profit as to the time I was spending doing it and not spending it with kids, OH or just having me time, it just isn't worth it TBH. I've listed three big lots to sell at a profit tonight and have put everything away :j already feel better!
I think I felt disheartened as I paid £1150 off debt this month and £400 was swallowed up in interest, BT fees and it was just a bit poo to be fair! BUT I haven't increased payments, we now have £700 in savings for the big things which is the most we have ever had in savings, and I feel a bit more secure in that sense.
I think I need to stop obsessing over the figure, I felt physically sick yesterday with the thought of it allbut only because it is such a slow process. Focusing on the positive, we took £70 out on Friday for weekly spends and £40 is still there and we really are changing our ways. Maybe when I get under £73k it will be a mini milestone and I will feel good.
Next month we both have increased salaries so there will be a definite improvement and (fingers crossed very tightly) a bonus. If it comes to fruition, don't count anything until it is in the bank now, we are going to use it to service both cars, fix the roof and also decided that we are going to have a week somewhere with the kids in the school holidays. We did say no to holidays but we need a break together, but we are going to stay in this country and go camping. OH is really excited about it, me not so and of course would prefer a 5* hotel but it is back to basics  - it will probably be good quite good fun actually...............
Am going to put my thinking cap on re extra income. I only emailed one magazine and have got a time limit set as to when to move on to the next one and that is due soon.
