:T:T:T for Ebay. I REALLY need to pull my finger out. One week of effort does not a debt free Macgirl make

I'm like that with dieting too "Right, I've been good for a week, now I can go back to scoffing biscuits!" Dur....

Good that you are waiting to discuss the trainer purchase with Mr IMD. That will set the ground rules for him to run all his little purchases past you first. Nice one ;)

I'm so very, very impressed by the ebaying! I have been swithering and swithering over whether to go for it or not, since it's mostly clothes I either don't wear or no longer fit me...

I suppose I could always do the washing (argh - I'd need to figure out how to work the iron though, wouldn't I?!!!), photos etc and, maybe by the time I procrastinate and faff with that, there might be another couple of free listing days...

Good luck with the sales :)

So I've got 1250 posts to do to get my next one.......that's a lot!
    1st debt - Next [STRIKE]£583.32[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£408.71 [/STRIKE] £0 :j
    2nd debt - MBNA - £6,618.52
First in many many to go - baby steps and all that!
First lump sum to go - fingers crossed!
    08/06/09 - [STRIKE]£11,497.68[/STRIKE] NOW - £9,757.75
  • No, I'm going to wait for sales on ebay to cover the amount and then speak to OH about it - so kind of being sensible but I do intend to get them...

Also an excellent way of getting the point across :-

Purchase outside of budget = conversation PRIOR to purchase :D

Will note that in my own strategic management of DH
    LBM Feb 2010 £62,700 Total Debt Jan 11 [STRIKE]£49,403.84[/STRIKE] £47,530.32.
    (CC/LOAN = [STRIKE]36,378.98[/STRIKE] 35668.47. O/D = [STRIKE]1255.32[/STRIKE] 1212.35/[STRIKE]1999.78[/STRIKE] 1934.52, BUS = [STRIKE]9769.76[/STRIKE] 8714.98)
    Challenge = Debt at 31/01/12 = £25k. 2011 Payments = £1,944.19/£24,403.84

There is no point in negative thought, it takes up time and energy which could be used in a positive, happy way!

I'm all for a bit of reverse psychology. Just set the trap and watch him fall right in heh heh heh.....:D

That is my ploy if I want DH to finish any DIY jobs. Instead of nagging - which never works - I just act all proactive and breezily mention I'M going to do the job. I might say "Where is your angle grinder/hammer/chainsaw? Because I'm going to do x today"

Cue DH "I'll do it" :rotfl: Works every time! Have a good day all :)
  • Morning! Have managed some element of organisation, kids dressed ready to school, dogs fighting in the garden and house tidy. In 10 minutes everything will go pete tong and the kids will probably argue, I will shout at them and it will become a normal day in my household.........

Checked online banking, get paid tomorrow and we have £10 left in OD on bills account and £20 in joint account, and still have over £40 in the tin to last us until Friday night so we might be able to carry some over to pay off the dreaded debt at this rate. Have got to get a birthday present today at the request of OH but he has acknowledged it is coming out of weekly funds, will be put in the book and accounted for :j

Not agreeing about insurance, going to cancel cat insurance as he stays in all day and only goes out to wee but dogs are a different matter....the fight to save my animals goes on.......

Ok off to kick the children's asses to put coats on as DS is already starting to crumble on his positive start.
