Hi IMD, I have nothing constructive to say only that you are a HUGE inspiration to me.....I am in the same situation with the same volume of debt and trying to bust out with OH not yet accepting.
I'm not the only one then :j Only joking, although it is reassuring to know. Do you have a diary, mine has made a massive difference to the momentum of keeping it going as it is too easy to keep burying my head. Funnily enough I have never imagined us giving in to the debt and going for a DMP or BR as it's not an option for me - I HAVE to pay it back - simple as!
Well I have got 108 things waiting to be uploaded onto ebay. Going to over the prices tomorrow night when not so knackered, as the prices at the moment just as starting bids would mean I would break even which isn't what i want, I want to earn more for all this hard work today! Need to just look around at what I can expect to get.
My mission at work tomorrow is to start the first stage of an application process to take my career further, Employers are actively encouraging it and further payrise on offer with a potential to double my income in 2 years time if I pass so would be foolish to decline - need some butt kicking on that score.
Am pretty knackered, mind is all over the place. Getting emails to tell me my CC's are online for viewing the bills. Even though I'm in control of them it still makes me feel a bit sick when I get them as it's a reminder. Going to shift a balance to Egg on Tuesday from MBNA, as once I move it MBNA traditionally offer a 0% so will try my luck again as that's the only one I'm paying interest on at the minute.
Off to bed now, body still hurts from run yesterday and now got a creak in my neck from bending over the computer - will check back all replies and post tomorrow.
Night all and thank you so much for the posts this weekend, have helped keep me sane, made me think I can do it and stopped me walking out of the house xx1st debt - Next [STRIKE]£583.32[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£408.71 [/STRIKE] £0 :j

Morning on a happy ebay free morning :j Have got a few things left to put on which are the kid's toys so not quite as mind numbing - soooo relieved I got everything on! Going to enlist OH's help tonight.
In early at work, took leftovers from tea last night and have taken my allocated £5 from the budgeted pot to see if I can keep it or spend as little as possible!
Redmadcurls - it would appear that we share our husbands with many many people! This isn't the first time I have been in debt either. Had a huge debt when I was younger, paid it all back and then got straight back into debt - doh!!
Re the pet insurance, I'm still dithering over the cancel button - just the thought of something happening (i.e. a broken leg) and it would mean the difference between them being put down or not - OH is far more hard faced than me when it comes to it.
So this week shall be a week of self waxing in an effort to maintain funds and dignity, a haircut on the cheap, packed lunches all the way and ebay avoidance due to significant overdose!
Have a good day everyone x1st debt - Next [STRIKE]£583.32[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£408.71 [/STRIKE] £0 :j

Well done on all the Ebaying!
It's none of my business, of course, but if that's what the options would be, I woulld recommend keepng the pet insurance. You would never be able to live with yourself afterwards if something like that happened.
Like the trainers, some things are a necessary expense, other a frivolity. I personally think that sounds like it is coming down heavily on the side of 'necessity'.Please call me 'Pickle'

Morning IMD, glad the ebaying is all listed.
I haven't done the diary, I'm doing a personal paper one at the moment which keeps me going but my OH is still burying his head in the sand and not helping much. I may venture into a MSE one in the future but I have to say I do find your's very motivating. The fact that I can see you in the same position as me and just what you're doing and the impact it is having is making me stop, think and do the same or similar.....I only have 7 things on ebay at the moment though!!!
Keep up all the good work and keep posting, I personally will keep reading and supporting in return. xxNatwest Card 27.06.10 (reduce every month) £267.63
Gave up smoking 16th July 2007 :T0 -
Well done for all that listing - it is truely the most mind numbing experience
Congratulations on still have 0% CC's - I am so far past the opportunities now - should have paid on time etc etc
Trainers - these are your precious feet! You only have two and you need to treat them with respect. Isn't it funny how we women worry about not covering dog insurance in case it breaks a leg and yet our own little tooties come is as a 'maybe'!

RMC - Indeed to be a man with the view - the cat's had a good life, if he's ill we'll put him down
When he came back with the dogs yesterday, who he absolutely adores, I got him to imagine only having one as the other was put down for breaking his leg - "that's life" God help me if I had to have an expensive operation, he'd have me put down!
If you get your credit rating back you might still be able to get good CC deals. Have you tried ringing them up and asking them to freeze interest or anything to avoid the default charges, as they are not helping you and it's in their interest to help you.
Nelmer - 7 things on ebay is better than none! Will sort out spreadsheet tonight, if you email me I'll send it to you. It's nice to know that I am making a difference to someone else, might make me keep going......1st debt - Next [STRIKE]£583.32[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£408.71 [/STRIKE] £0 :j

well done on listing so many things on ebay you need a medal. I'm still procrastinating about sorting out the dvd's to go on music magpie. Glad you're OH is getting on board but just hope there's no more recriminations.0
