These doctors were abit tough k,
    but so what...??! :o:T:rolleyes:

The disability benefits aren't there for people who have minor pyschological problems which make working 'not the most appealing option', or a 'hard thing to do'.

They are there for people whos disability means that they physcially just cant do any jobs or work because it no matter what.

People can claim that the doctors were too harsh and gave these people too low scores than the person wanted to have got,
so the end result was that the person had to get a job and start working if they wanted to survive.... :T

And have these people all died because of having to work??!

Im not exagerrating at all btw, how many of these people have actually died as a result of this??

Because what it shows is that the people, however hard pyschologically it may be for them to have to work,
they will have now physcially have been working for however many months or years since that happend,
and as they are still alive and still working it proves that they COULD physcially do the work if they didnt have a choice about it!! :T

And therefore they didnt need to stay on the benefits.

I don't see as there is any need to tape anything - I think it's a bit paranoid tbh. - just have someone take notes. Then you have a witness as to what was said.

(Edited to add : If I had been asked to sign someone's notes as accurate when I was employed by the Council, I also would not have done so in case they were not! Anyone, including the DWP and ATOS, can make mistakes.).

But why do all the mistakes seem to go againt the claimant:rolleyes:
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed
  • But why do all the mistakes seem to go againt the claimant:rolleyes:
Maybe it only seems to because we never hear about the ones where it goes in favour of the claimant. We also never hear from people whose claim has gone smoothly. So all we see is a disproportionate amount of the unhappy clients.

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton

    1. Not simply a bit tough - but misrepresenting the claimant - you clearly don't read these threads.

    2. They have not died - but when misrepresented they are being defrauded of their legal right to benefit entitlements.

BTW: I almost died - it certainly badly affected health - when fighting DWP after my benefits were stopped.

    All *what* people exactly

Which people are you referring to that were kicked off incapacity benefit for mental problems, who then failed their appeal, who then got jobs, and held them down.

Please show us the details / stats of these people....
[greenhighlight]but it matters when the most senior politician in the land is happy to use language and examples that are simply not true.
    [/greenhighlight][redtitle]
The impact of this is to stigmatise people on benefits,
and we should be deeply worried about that

Because you don't get many people who are stupid enough to come on forums and tell people that a mistake's been made by awarding benefit undeserveredly!:rotfl:

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
I suffer with depression and anxiety and take 2 forms of medication for it and I work. Returning to work was the best thing I did FOR ME. Not everyone is the same however and I am lucky enough to have a very supportive employer.

They dont, more than a few have been paid benefit where they had no entitlement to it, that is why there is a term 'non-recoverable overpayment':

    Non-recoverable overpayments
09169 Overpayments may arise in circumstances other than a misrepresentation or failure
to disclose, for example arithmetical errors in a claimant’s favour. These should
normally be excluded from the calculation of the amount of the overpayment that is
    recoverable.
