    That's brill, cheers Nat!!

Showed Steve them both before and he said to go for it.

The choc one will have 'Grooms cake' on it and the pink will have 'Brides Cake' on it! :D

Fook knows how we will cut 2 cakes though! :rotfl:(I mean 'the' cutting of the cake for pics)

May get a M&S fruit cake and have a shot at decorating it myself........then we could cut that one for the photos.

I want all 3 flavours you see but I'm loate to spend £300+ for one!

Seen loads of gorgeous cakes, but the prices are just for sponge, for fruit or choc it's much more expensive!

Doing it this way it would only be about £150 in all! :T

This was our cake, from M&S.

I took the purple flowers off all the cupcakes and replaced them with gold ones which I made myself. I also made the toppers and the flower arrangement on the middle tier.

    id love this cake
do you just get them on a wire and you just put them on?do they stand on there own and did you have to buy the top bit sep?sorry for all the questions

The outer crystals are on a wire and you can choose from gold or silver to match your colour scheme. The top is sold as a 'crown'. It is sent flat so you just tease it out to get the shape back.

Sorry for delay in reply as we have had a weeks holiday to wind down before the madness begins in 3.5 weeks.

im also wanting the glass sqs for the cakes
do i need to have all fruit cakes to hold the glass as id think soft sponge would go flat with these on it
what do u think?or am i being silly AGAIN
  • Is anybody else making their own?

I will be spending all day in the kitchen with my best friend the day before the wedding, and to be honest we both love baking so it will be a fabulously girly day, surounded by chocolate.

Am having chocolate cupcakes with chocolate icing anda minstrel perched on top. I figured if it was all dark chocolate any little imperfections wouldn't show up as much.
