Sorry if you've answered this before Tiger, but where did you get / are you getting the crystals for around your cake? They're beautiful!

This is the effect im hoping to achieve but using round cakes on a 'G' stand rather than the columns.

This was our wedding cake. It cost £100 and was made by a friend of my MIL. It was yummy!

The shamrock and thistle piping on it are because im Northern Irish and Hubby is Scottish :)

M&S cakes had been our original plan until MIL put us in touch with the lady that made it.

There's some lovely things on that site - now just need to work out where I could use them! Thanks

Here's ours 2 years ago! We paid £150. It was a chocolate sponge cake with white chocolate around the outside.

This is the only thing I can find similar to my cake. Except there will be NO flowers or yellow.

    It's really hard to imagine....

The ribbon will be blue, there will be a bride on top, a groom trying to climb up onto the top tier, the perspex cube will be filled with a blue light and gel stuff and our two sons will be at the bottom in their city kits. Yes it's mis matched and a bit of a jumble but it was a compromise between me & h2b so....

It's costing £295, the bottom tier will be chocolate, middle carrot cake and top lemon sponge

that's brill - no Mark Hughes anywhere?

Hello, thought I would join in :)
We're having cupcakes rather than a traditional wedding cake, and to have 100 made, it is going to cost us around £150-£200.

We're having red cupcake cases for them too, to go with our colour scheme!
They are going to look something like this..

My sister in law made the cake and I bought the flowers from a seller on ebay who also did my bouquets and button holes

My cake was supposed to be similar to this M&S one but made by a friend of my sisters:
    http://www.marksandspencer.com/gp/product/B00170PCYQ/sr=1-1/qid=1251634985/ref=sr_1_1/280-2013042-8400313?ie=UTF8&node=77003031&m=A2BO0OYVBKIQJM&keywords=&mnSBrand=core&size=9&rh=&page=

As I wanted a chocolate cake and not a fruit one. However two days before the wedding it melted into itself and became a squished mess in the bottom of a cake box!!! So a quick trip to ASDA - three fruit cake tiers, some pink ribbon, gerberas and an ornament later we came up with the following:

The venue chef managed to rescue some of the original frosted roses which he added to decorate the plain cake. We still ate the chocolate mush though and it was delicious ;)
