hmm i ordered 2 when only 38 people had read the original thread and it's still on order???

and at that time the email stated it was out of stock.

I was the first post after this 'offer' was posted and although I couldn't get the price right in the basket until Sdl811 helped me out, this item was out of stock even then.

    Still, here's hoping.

  • Just wondering if anyone else ordered like me where it said it would charge me when it arrives in store?
    Life is one long project
  • I didn't even see that option, would have prefered that one though as at the moment WH Smith have 16 odd quidd of my money and I can't get to it and I have nothing to show for it :P

No sign of mine shipping yet. Sod's law in operation here I guess.
  • Guys, please see this post about follow up threads. I'm afraid we cannot really make exceptions as these just serve to clutter up the grabbit forum with offers that are now no longer valid. I will move this post to the vent forum.
  • Just got my dispatch email.  I was the first to post this offer on rpoints, about 10 minutes before it found its way to here, although it was listed as out of stock when i ordered.

So there's some hope for everyone

  • To my knowledge an aknowledgement of an order is very different to a confirmation.

Once they have confirmed your order then legally they have to honour it and at the price that was advertised when you bought it.

    Is this correct?
    Thanks
    Tom
  • Has anyone bothered to read the small print on the confirmation at the point of confirming your order. Makes interesting reading I am sure you will all agree.

It says once they take the money it forms a contract with you. Not sure if "reserving" the money in a pending form counts as taking the money though
  • I ordered 2 early on in the 1st thread.

Both of mine have been cancelled. It didn't send me an email, I looked it up on the WHSmith site :'(
    All credit cards paid off.
