    Hi
I was just reading through this thread and just came across the previous post(the one where the person from the company went to the consumers house). I know everyone on here is really sensible but please please be careful before allowing outside companies into your home! It just you do read so much about scams and really elaborate schemes that I urge everyone to be extra cautious. I saw on this months Crimewatch a scheme where criminals pretend to be the police and ring up elderly people claiming a third party has their card details. They then go around to their targets house and take cards plus pins-the victim not realising until too that they have been scamed. I know this not related to the actual sale of gold its, just I would hate anyone experiencing or losing their valuables.
    Happy gold selling-zara

    Thanks for your preventions

If you have old gold to sell. I wouldn't wait too long it could have peaked already and is now trading at a discount in Turkey. The price is looking toppy.

I can thoroughly recommend Hatton Garden Metals. I sent my package on Tuesday and the money was in my account on Wednesday. I also sent a bag of 'unknown' where I didn't know whether the items were gold or not. I got an extra £300 plus for those in the package that was gold. They are very honest and the price is good, £7.13 per gram.

    hi Guys,

On saturday went to cash converters to see what they would pay for some gold and they offered £320.00, but thought i would try cashmygold.com and today they have offered me a cheque for £130.79, so they are pants as called them up and would not budge so can anyone recomend another way as i think i could get maybe £400 as most of the gold is 22cct.

    thanks
If cash converters have offered £320 the gold is worth around £650. Send it to Lois Jewellery in Birmingham you will be surprised!

I know someone who sent therir gold off in a envelope to a internet site, they said they never received it, now she has to claim via the post office and try to find receipts for jewellery that she bought over 20 years ago!

I sent some gold off to one of those advertised on TV. Got my cheque this morning and sent it straight back. They offered a fraction of what they say on their website. One of the rings alone was worth more than 3 times what they offered for the whole lot.

A few years ago when I was strapped for cash I porned my scrap and got more porning it than what this company just offered.

Having read the threads, I decided to use Hatton Garden Metals too. I was really impressed. I posted it yesterday morning, got home today to find they'd transferred £470 into my bank account! :TYou can't get much quicker than that! Not bad for a fairly small amount of earrings that I haven't worn for years ( from ex-partner with poor taste in jewellery! ).

I got almost £400 for all my broken jewellery and odd ear rings, was pleased with that as I couldn't wear any of these items any more.

I asked for a cheque which arrived very quickly and they kept me up to date with everything by email so I would recommend also.

I sent my gold to this company who claimed they had had a broken gold bracelet on TV and that it was worth £125! (please make not of the one item they had shown and how much the lady was gonna get) yeh right!
    Heres what i had:
18ct gold 1.5ct diamont trilogy engagement ring,
    an 18ct gold mum ring,
a 9ct diamond dolphin wedding band,
    a 9ct gold 3pt diamond eternity ring,
    18ct gold onyx eagle ring
    9ct onyx bulldog ring
    4 925 brooches (different designs)
    a 9ct curb bracelet,
a 925 silver garnet gem ring,
    925 silver marcasite earrings,
    18ct drop leaf earrings,
    3 9ct gold plain necklaces
2 925 silver necklaces with butterfly and leaf pendants

all these items i had were worth over £800 if sold second hand as i was told when i had them checked.

CASH MY GOLD OFFERED ME £25!

they took 3 weeks to send my jewellery back to me! when it arrived the necklaces were all tangled round the rings with knots i spent 2 hours getting out!
