Feel very down about money today. Even though the end is in sight, I feel like I can't DO anything until the debt has gone.

I want to plan to go on holiday (last time we went was August 2004).

I want to think about saving for a deposit

I want to think about buying a new car (well not NEW, but newer) - ours is over 10 years old and its getting expensive at services and MOTs.

I don't feel like any of these things are extraordinary, but just can't think about it until we have paid off the debt.

Sorry for the whinge but I feel like everyone around me is moving forward and doing fun things, but we aren't.

  • I think we all feel like that sometimes, like the debts not going away fast enough. Maybe you could start a small savings fund to spend the money on something fun (how dare I say such a thing on this board ;))

I still think your doing amazing :)

Ha! A savings fund for fun things?! Would I dare?

Sorry to moan - I'm sure everyone else has their problems, but I feel ever to jealous when I see people arranging weddings and decorating their houses and I'm not doing fun things like that.

Hope you had a good weekend xx

  • Could just be a wee £5 a week or whatever is suitable for you and it could be just for a nice meal out (while using vouchers etc before I get lynched !), something for you to look forward to :)

If good means working then yes, I had a good weekend lol

    Hi mel.
You paid an amazing amount off in 2012.
You could pop on to the 'how much have you paid off in 2009' & add your amount. The thread is also in the diary section.
