I didn't mention working hard, I was refering to your statement that you do your job well.

    This thread is a joke.

This is meant to be a forum to offer support and advice but more often that not threads are beaten down with negativity and the usual suspects spouting the usualy nonsense.

I think anyone that uses the word Cretin or Moron about people they have had no contact with says enough doesn't it icon7.gif

yeah i agree with what your saying infact we joke about management saying 'they've gone for a meeting about the meeting their having next week'

what im trying to say is that most of 'us' are at the bottom of the scale, we have no say in what happens, management, dont know their !!!! from their elbow, we just get told what to do and if we dont meet some impossible target we get $h!t

Most of this problem evolves from the public sector mentality of if I am here long enough I will get promoted. This leads to poor management. It is still impossible to sack an employee for just not being much good at their job as opposed to the private sector where you are kept on your toes by an ethos of someone snapping at your heels ready to ease you out.
  • They seem to know how to become management, so if they don't know their !!!!! from their elbows it doesn't really say much for those they manage!

Take time to think it through wxmlad.

sounds like a complete contradiction considering you've just vented how useless management are in the civil service.

I know your clever council managers think they are in the CIA from what I have heard, obviously not like that in the private sector judging by the amount of posts on this forum icon7.gif

  • What makes me sad about this thread is that i go in to work everyday, i work hard, i dont take time off sick or sit around all day chatting doing as little as possible, i'll do extra work where i can, I take pride in my work in any job ive done, be it the public or private sector.

To be labled a moron, useless and lazy is quite insulting

Kriss, I have offered you a lot of advice, however you either can't see that, or you actually get off on being in your role with like minded people all whinging about how unlucky they are.

What exactly did you expect; everyone to petition your council to get you on a higher pay scale.

Once again my advice is: DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT AND STOP APPORTIONING BLAME ELSEWHERE!

TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR OWN LIFE

Not doing anything is infact a decsion to let the council have significant control of your life.

Don't know who you work for but I have never noticed that.
