What makes me sad about this thread is that i go in to work everyday, i work hard, i dont take time off sick or sit around all day chatting doing as little as possible, i'll do extra work where i can, I take pride in my work in any job ive done, be it the public or private sector.

To be labled a moron, useless and lazy is quite insulting

    what do you actually do?

Not a bad idea, my lad.

There is some hope for you, after all.

believe me I have ideas of how the dept could work differently to save money, improve efficiency and reduce waiting times for claimants, but what can i do, anyone under team leader grade isn't worth listening to in the eyes of management

sounds like a complete contradiction considering you've just vented how useless management are in the civil service.

When exactly did I do that?

I have to say though, that when I saw your above post and the clapping smiley in your signature I did laugh! It's as if you are applauding it.

Kriss, I have offered you a lot of advice, however you either can't see that, or you actually get off on being in your role with like minded people all whinging about how unlucky they are.

What exactly did you expect; everyone to petition your council to get you on a higher pay scale.

Once again my advice is: DO SOMETHING AOUT IT AND STOP APPORTIONING BLAME ELSEWHERE!

TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR OWN LIFE

Not doing anything is infact a decsion to let the council have significant control of your life.

Listen to me you fool!!! From your very first post you assumed I was 'one of those people who moan about things but do nothing about it'.

Im not moaning about my life!!!!

I LOVE MY JOB!!!! LISTEN TO ME!!! FOR GOD SAKE THIS IS BECOMING PAINFUL!!!!!!!!!

See here, this is a good example of what we mean about council workers mentality.

I have news for you; that's what you are paid to do!

    This thread is a joke.

This is meant to be a forum to offer support and advice but more often that not threads are beaten down with negativity and the usual suspects spouting the usualy nonsense.

    Agree.

The 'cretins' as far as the public sector are concerned are the government for creating so many non-jobs in the first place.

Can't blame the people that take them.

    Make up your mind.

One moment you berate public sector workers for being lazy etc.
Next you accuse them of being obtuse when they say they work hard.

I think you have a bit of a problem understanding other people.
