Council Pay Freeze
Comments

i am not jealous. I have no desire to work in the public sector, with those awful self important meeting mad idiots to deal with. I earn quite a sufficient wage in the private sector thanks.
All i know is, I have maggots in my bin, because the hateful wasteful council can't afford to collect bins once a week (yes, they dress it up as "green" but we all know it is because they can't afford it with all the unnecessary and excessive salaries and pensions they pay out). It is disgusting. Sack half the staff and use their salaries to fund a weekly bin collection, not alternate weeks - and then lying by calling it "easy as ABC" Additional Bin Collections. At best it is the same amount of collections, but in reality it is fortnightly collections.
Hateful civil service. More council tax every year, less for your money, except more inept employees.0 -
Heh, I joined the council because the terms and conditions are worth a lot. I work close to home and the hours are flexible which suits the other commitments I have in life.
Im just saying Im worried they freeze the salary progression for 4 years.
If people want to jump on the post and use it as an excuse to slag us council workers off them fine, it really doesnt bother me.
Read my posts again, Im simply saying it would suck if they froze my salary as I was led to believe I would be on a decent salary upon completing an HNC relevant to the job.
It's you I am slagging Kriss...........either do something about your salary or stop whinging.........on second thoughts stop whinging anyway.
I can assure you that if you think your salary being frozen sucks you have a surprise or two in store.
Anyway, are you at work being paid with my tax to be on here whinging about not getting paid enough to be on here whinging? If so get back to work and earn your salary.0 -
When I hear people complaining that something 'sucks', it tells me all I need to know about their drive, ambition and general attitude to life.
Discussion over, as far as I'm concerned :-)0 -

Im not whinging!!! This is the first time Ive ever mentioned my work!! I opted against disputing my salary back when it was awarded as I saw the bigger picture and thought best to just get the HNC done and move on from there!
And I never post here whilst at work! Im not that stupid! I took advantage of the flexible working and came home early as my girlfriends pretty ill...
...see!! I am a good person

Thats pretty laughable! How I chose to communicate on an internet discussion forum says nothing about my attitude nor ambition.0 -

To infer it is never too high says a lot about your view of the world and how you think.
for my job that i do well, i dont think its high , thanks:rolleyes:0 -

They collect ours once a week, then again we made our thoughts known instead of just whinging
BTW I wouldn't like to work for the council either mind numbing bureaucracy, much easier in the private sector. 'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. Could you elaborate please, lostinrates? I'm a bit slow on the uptake, sometimes.
A picture might help.0 -
Kriss,
If, 'it's not fair', is not whinging what is? Your attitude comes across as the whole world is against you, it's all their fault, you don't deserve it etc. etc. etc.
As I have repeatedly said; it aint the world it's YOU and until you accept that nothing is going to change.
Do something about it.
ps
Get well soon to your GF0
