I didnt actually officially join the challenge, but i did have a mini goal with myself to lose some weight. I lost 16lbs, now just want to maintain my weight and tone up rather than lose anymore.

Wow! Well done Flower! Did you do it by eating lots of chocolate and doing no exercise?! Please say you did! :p I'm determined this time to do it.

Well done on the loss Flower! I'm in for the challenge, I need to get myself sorted weight wise, I can't keep bobbing up and down like I am at the minute, I have to find a way of life that works for me so I don't feel deprived or hungry but gives me a good healthy balance. My problem at the minute is that I'm too tired to cook on an evening so I'm always eating whatever's there in the fridge... last night I just had some chicken for tea. Not terrible but I need veg! And the 2 chocolate Rich Tea biscuits afterwards didn't help!

Do any of you do any exercise videos? I was thinking something like pilates but I don't want to waste my money if it's rubbish!

Your wages are good for your hours Cinny, my OH was only getting 200 a week take home when he was working full time at B and Q before we moved to London. That is never an ideal wage for life though and I think Dinah is saying you have the potential to do a lot more for yourself.

I am joining the next challenge. I want to be down to 9 and a half stone. Haven't weighed myself for a while so will check that tomorrow morning. Think will eb about 10lbs to a stone to lose.

Don't buy biccies Birdie! If they're not in the house you can't eat them. On a weekend try to batch cook some meals that you can just reheat when you get home on an evening to take some of the pressure off. Brown pasta and sauce, a stir fry, rissotto, or even a baked sweet potato all reheat pretty well.

But I guess if it depends whether your pay is gonna be cut by half like you were saying. Cuz that is a big cut! Are you gonna keep doing (or restart!) your diary to keep track of everything?

Spoke to my Dad properly just now and he says he'll do everything possible to make sure our hours don't get cut. And if they did need to cut hours, they'd spread them over the company rather than our office taking a direct hit, but they think things are going to start picking up soon so it might not happen at all.
ETA: My Dad just came in and said I could help with plumbing jobs in the afternoon if it's more money I'm after. Oh god, it's very sweet of him but could you imagine that?!

I'm in for the new challenge! Just to loose a stone, still have a few wobbly bits I want shut of and hopefully the yoga will tone the rest up while I'm at it.

Birdie - I used 'The Firm' DVD sets at the start of the last challenge. They did work pretty well - or, at least I hurt in places I didn't normally so I figured it was working.

OH buys the biccies when I'm not around to stop him! I'll have to do the batch cooking thing, I think I'll have some time this weekend so I'll have to get my apron on and get cooking!

I think I need some kind of exercise that comes in small chunks, I haven't got time or energy to spend an hour working out! My threshold is about 20 minutes!

Cinny, which GCSEs are you looking to do? Did you leave school early? I apologise if I've missed something!

Got to say baked sweet potatoes are one of my favourite meals. Heat up the oven, throw a chicken breast in, and chop up some onions, peppers, mushrooms, whatever veg you like really and throw those in the oven to bake too. If you like things a bit saucy you can get lots of low fat marinaides and sauces that you just pour over. Quick zap the potato for 6 or 7 mins in the microwave, blast it in the oven for 10 mins or so until the chicken is ready, to get the potato a crispy skin, and its done! Really filling and yummy too.

I think The Firm workout is about 20 minutes, I got mine for about £10 in Sainsburys. It's a DVD and a band to work out with. You don't really get out of breath with it, just a bit pink in the face!

I was homeschooled from Yr8, so skipped all the GCSE stuff. Although I was taught upto GCSE level, unless I can stamp my CV with some actual GCSE marks it's pretty useless.

Dinah - Please put warnings on your yummy recipe posts. I'm hungry enough as it is!
