Ooh, by the way, thanks for the Vellum tip ROTE! I'll be checking that out tonight, I'm looking forward to making my invites now! Just have to book the darn thing...
What's your sister doing now Cinny? Must be well paid if she can spend £1000 on boots!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
She starts her new job on Thursday, Assistant Manager at Boost Juice. She's mentally saving up for a new Chanel bag already.
Really looking forward to getting home, my head is all over the place now!0 -
Hi Cinny, I've just been reading the last few pages here. If you want to find a Christmas job it would be good for your CV, and obviously the extra money would help. I worked in Boots last Christmas and they give 22.5% discount on Boots products, and 12.5% on everything else, so it is worth having, and they have a double staff discount week in Octoberish time. I also worked for New Look once (albeit for 4 hours lol), and they give you a massive 50% discount! Finally bought a homeStarting mortgage £289,500 31.01.19 - Current outstanding £192,586.98/CENTER]Overpayments since 27.03.19: £52,407.470

Good news!! OHs job is safe.
Emergency meeting went as well as can be expected. The managers agreed that OH had not been negligent towards to situation, there was no way he could have known the staff had drugs in their bags etc...
7 members of staff were sacked, so OH is going to be very busy at work until he gets replacements. He has put out ads for staff so hopefully will get them replaced soon. The silver lining in it all is that OH will have to work lots of extra hours and therefore more money.Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -
Glad your Oh's job is Ok, wasn't his fault so was not to blame.
Cinny - I agree with the others, is only going to make you develop yourself by getting another job and then if something comes up later in the company firm you can always go back.
I was at work till 7 tonight, a busy week and one of the people I work with is on holiday which makes it even more work. The other girl I work with told me today she is probably handing her notice in as well. I think she stresses herself out too much, I don't let work get to me and manage to stay reltaively stress free. She said the only reason she has stayed is because of me and Nat (the girl on holiday) which was nice.0 -
Morning All,
Whoooooo PAYDAY!!!!!
No changes to signature yet as payments go out through the month so I will update it as the month progresses.0 -
Okay, final weigh in. I was really dreading this one, and climbed on the scales this morning expecting NIM to tell me I was 10 stone 11 lbs again and I'd put it all back on (major design flaw, the dial is so small you can't read it when you're stood up on the scales!!!).... but I'm 9 stone 11lbs!!!!!! I did it the whole stone gone!!!!! Very happy day.
Went to my friend Deb's last night to help fill in forms for taking her ex landlord to court for not protecting her deposit (which no one except me knew about, thank you MSE!) and I've asked her to be a 4th bridesmaid. I haven't known her that long but she is such an amazing person, so vibrant and full of energy and she already feels like I've known her all my life. I now feel like I have a bridesmaid from every stage of my life, a family friend from when we were little, my best friend from school (still need to ask her!), my best friend from uni, and my first close adult friend. Now we just need to find a 4th groomsman!
No idea how things are going moneywise, NIM needs to check on the savings and update me, and move money around from savers to spents for the last few days.
Really struggling to find reasonable car insurance this year, best I've got so far is over £700!!!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Hi all! Great news about OH's job Flower! And it's good that he'll be getting plenty of overtime but make sure that he gets plenty of R&R when he's at home so he doesn't burn out!
Cinny, how did the job talks go with your Dad last night?
ETA: Amazing work on the stone's weight loss Dinah! I know I haven't lost anything, this was a bad patch for me weight loss-wise since I was working away etc... Must try harder! I'll try to stick to it once I get back from food fest 2009 aka my all inclusive holiday!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Flower, what a relief about OH's job! It must have been a nail-biting time, and now some good has come out of it (not sure if your OH feels like all the extra hours will be a good thing
)
Well done Dinah! That's fab - is there any challenge you can't do?! Why not set yourself a challenge to win the Euromillions before the end of the year? :rotfl:LBM Sep 2008 debt: £27,927.04start weight: 140.2, week 2: 1380 -
Well done Dinah, that is a brilliant loss!
Wow £700 for insurance, I have a weak little car so mine is under £400. I need to start looking soon though as mine is due November. Going to have to borrow more money to get it but think it should add only a month on my debt so not too bad.0
