Given that no other phone on the market currently corrects those "faults", I don't think "shrewd personal purchasing" comes into it, unless you're talking about lacking the foresight to buy a time machine. :p

I can sync my Windows Mobile phone over a wifi link, and directly connect to its filesystem over wifi, so i can effectivly stream music off it if i really wanted to.

Not that I ever use either mind...

ps this post does not imply I believe WM phones are better than the iPhone or visa versa, meerly to point at at least one of the fault/features are avaliable on other phones.

Goes with my keys everywhere now.

I quite enjoyed having k810i sony phone, best picture etc, gaming.

I have one of those k810i 's, when my daughter upgraded she gave it to me.

I use Orange cabs for my guitars, they're about the best you can get and always look pretty good with a dual rec sat on top of them.

As a soloist, I don't know if it's the best thing yet, (it's due to arrive today), I have just ordered a Vocalist Live 2. The hype and user reviews points to it being excellent, but time will tell.

Best value for practical use : My different GPS devices.
Best money spent on entertainment: My Topfield TF5800PVRt

Goes without say that there is no life without some sort of a computer.
Do I want it? ......Do I need it? ......What would happen if I don't buy it??????

  • Samsung N110 Notebook + LogMeIn, having the ability to fully control any pc/laptop in my house from anywhere in the world, as if I'm sitting infront of it incredibly handy. Also makes great use for security purposes when you set up remote webcams.

Thanks for this. I have been resisting paying for GoToMyPc for years.

I knew this thread would throw up other things that I could not live without!

Also it brought to mind my number 2 couldn't live without device, my HTC Touch HD. I dont want to start a spat of WM v iPhone here, theres enough of that elsewhere ;).

oddly - it was seeing the eagles of death metal that converted me  the sound from jesse boots electric was just stunning. Chose the tiny terry combo as I like the switch which allows me to knock it down to 7 watts when I am practicing... just need a band to play with!

Guitar however currently down south getting new emg's, truss rod looked at and the general action is a bit - erm - crap :o but hey ho - it was an ibanez for £70 ;) and otherwise mint condition :D

The construction of their products is second to none. Nothing by Orange has ever left me with the feeling that it's mass produced with little regard. The cabs can take a good battering too, although I do keep my gear in aluminium flight cases for transporting around, they get a bit knocked about in the back of the old Land Rover Defender I use for pottering around in :o

The necks on Ibanez guitars are really fast, ones that I'd take the action right down low to the cusp of it causing some fret buzz :D

That looks really interesting, let us know how you get one when you've had a good play with it!

:jLogMeIn:j. Great bit of software. I've got it the free version installed on all my families comps and can help them out with their constant problems without leaving my desk.

I recently got a Netgear ReadyNAS Duo. Very well made, compact, quiet and does what it says on the tin - also have it running my Dell laser printer. I've never been one to religiously do backups each month now this gives me 500GB of mirrored RAID storage & I can upgrade it by putting in bigger disks.

  • My N82 is a great gadget, GPS Sports Tracker, great camera with flash, wirelessly synchronise with all sorts, lots of great free software - only downside is the appalling battery life :(

    My TomTom

4gb USB datastick for upgrading windows to Ubuntu

True, but I'm not aware of anything that does all of them, and the iPhone does things other phones can't, so it's swings and roundabouts really.

I forgot to mention my ZX Spectrum, the first techie thing I ever owned (it was a Christmas present from my parents)
