Wow you are mega organised! We're hoping to have ours in August but need to ring the registry office (was torn between two of them) and try to get it booked... I am pretty sure if we can get it booked that we can organise it all though, think my brother and his wife did it all in around nine months.

I'm an August bride too - can I join???

We are getting married on Friday 27th August after what will have been a 7 year engagement! :j

All I have done so far is to book the church and provisionally book the venue :eek:

I should be booking the venue formally today though and then the rest of the planning can begin.

I havent a clue where or when to start on flowers?? any ideas?

I would have never thought about doing my own flowers but am now considering it after reading this thread and seeing a demo video.

I also had a look on a few wedding websites to get an idea of flowers that I like, as I didn't have a clue where to start either, so you could do that to see what appeals. I found this website pretty useful for see the different types of bouquets and table centrepieces etc. http://weddings.theknot.com

evening everyone!

I though I would ring this thread back up to see how we are all doing??

I have been racing on all this week, and sorted out some yummy menus, a church and my flower girl dresses (MIL is making them) looking at fabrics this week, and meeting my venue dresser next weds at my location.

My sweet buffet is coming along, and I feel as though I have come a long way in a week, though I need to put a mood board type thing together to get some ideas downand make some firm choices....

what is everyone else up to??

im an august bride too, so excited!!
im getting married 27th August 2010, so far i have

bought dress
shoes
booked registrar
booked venue
booked reception
paid deposit on horse and carriage :j
paid deposit on entertainment (for adults and kids)
have sorted out photographer thanks to a wonderful friend he's sorted it for us as a wedding present:D

we've been together for 15 years and engaged for 8 so we think its about time we did it lol

OK I clearly need to get myself organised you have all done loads more than me.

All I have done is:

• Book the church
• Book the reception venue
• Booked the car (well my lovely litle sis / MOH has done this as she is paying for the car for our present).

Next thing is the Save the Date cards I guess!

Venue sorted (although looking like the caterers & wedding planner are leaving- crossing my fingers they'll stay to do the weddings already booked - find out this week!!)

I've found my flower girls headbands
OH says he's decided on all the suits - just shopping around for the best prices

Designed our invites (Im a graphic designer so done them myself, now to suck up to my boss to print them )
Bought and put a deposit down on my dress

I wasnt sure about getting a dress yet, but a lot of you guys already have! Only looked in Monsoon so far.
But have registrar booked, venue booked (arranging food & DJ with them nearer the time) and done my Save the dates, Oh and bought a fab cake topper.
Wooh its exciting isnt it!!!!!
