August 2010 Brides (& Grooms!)

Hi everyone.
Can I join!!! We're getting married 29th August!! Soooo excited!
So far, we've:
Paid deposit on the venue ( securing the venue, catering, drinks etc )
Paid deposit for photographer
Paid deposit on transport
Got my shoes
Paid deposit on my dress
Booked the honeymoon!!
Off to see the priest on Sunday.

I feel like I'm behind tho...?!?

bought bmaids tiaras
bought my earrings
booked honeymoon, paid deposit
prov booked registrar
booked rooms at hotel for night before

not much left to do really, next year is going to drag so much!

Im getting married 20th 2010 in the wirral, have done most of the big jobs so far, venue booked, dress picked, photographer sorted, and just looking at save the date things now!

I think the reception and registrar are the main things anyway princess, so I wouldn't worry! I've still got deposits to pay etc. I'm just waiting to go to some wedding fairs in the next few weeks! I'm hoping that will get me excited again rather than just a little bit stressed that there's too much to do but I can't really do any of it cos its too far away! (p.s. I'm a bit of a stresshead anyway) lol

Hi all... I'm Aug 2010 too!!! Sat 21st Aug at 1pm lol..

You are all sooo organised. We have arranged the church and the venue so far and that's all..

Dying to start dress shopping but the idea of going into a shop for an appmnt is daunting. For those who got dresses from ebay/china - did you try some on first in shops to get some ideas of what style etc? I know what I like - but whether it suits me is another matter!!

Were getting married in Santorini, so most of the planning is not done till right at the last minute lol.

I have my dress picked and ordered. Wedding shoes bought

20% deposit on our wedding rings

Need to sort out everything else ie suit hire, flowers, cake

Reception is booked at our friends restuarant and we are staying at a friends hotel. Just want it to be August now!! :T

I need to get the rings, but we not going to spend too much on them 2bh - an Elizabeth Duke job most prob

Paid all deposits, just got to finish paying the whole thing off now :mad: my daddy has kindly paid the 1k for the first payment of venue.

Grandparents paid for our photographer

Im getting our cake from marks and sparks and decorating it myself with petals from my bouquet

I havent a clue where or when to start on flowers?? any ideas?

My mother in law is mkaing remaining bridesmaids dresses - bought one as a template from EBay for 99p with £20 p+p.

Need to get Tiara and vail for me and tiaras for bridesmaids - where did u all get urs from?

Cant wait to see my dress again - havent seen it for months and forgot what it looked like :eek:

Ok I think my next plan is a wedding fayre then, have seen some advertised it might give me more ideas of what to do next - you all do seem scarily organised!!!!
