Morning everyone, just a quick one before I head off to my friends house for copious amounts of cups of tea and a shoulder to cry on..
Firstly:
G&B *hugs* hon
Elly, phew what a relief that the test turned out negative. If it's any consolation I was taken into care at 15 due to various things, although I hasten to add they weren't my fault - lets just say it was child abuse, both physically and mentally. But I turned into a right wotsit then, really tried my foster parents. But I turned out okay, if I say so myself. And the only reason mum and I were estranged was because of the situation of me having to go into care in the first place and her refusing to acknowledge this. But I will say that my friend, that I am visiting, was a real wild child - she even tried to burn her parents house down twice and tried to kill them all by the time she was 13, then again at 15. She was taken into care, ran away so many times we lost count (she was in the same childrens home as me!) but now at 39 she has turned into the most loving and caring person you could imagine. She is also a foster mum herself and I love her dearly.. So please take heart your daughter may be testing the boundaries as only she knows how, but she will turn out okay believe me.
Serena, oh hunny my heart goes out to you. I do know how you are feeling believe me even though my mum has been dead nearly 3 years now. If you want to talk feel free to pm me..
Toots, Soappie and Piggers you are doing wonderful jobs keeping us all on track - thank you so much *hugs*
And major hugs to anyone else I have forgotten, I am sure I have but you know what my memory is like..a sieve at the best of times..lol
Quick update on lodgercat - prognosis not good. He is still losing weight sadly but he is brighter. We had our second steroid jab yesterday and the vet now thinks what he has got is incurable, but we are doing everything we can to stabilise whatever it is. It's baffling us all. He is eating but I am now convinced he has trouble with his mouth, which I thought from the first place - he will only eat a small amount then give up. It's almost as if it is hurting him when he eats. So I am due to talk to his vet tomorrow morning, she is off today. And maybe she will do an exploratory on his mouth if necessary. Although this would explain why he is isn't eating as it is baffling her as to why he won't be eating on steroids. Normally they are stuffing their faces.. He may need to be sedated and be checked over but hey I don't mind, if it comes to some sort of answer then great! If not then at least I can say I tried. His "mum" isn't that bothered any more, she is still adamant it is my fault he is ill and has said to put him down if necessary - not on my life!! She reakons he had all these blood tests at the beginning of the year and won't take it that they weren't looking for this illness so didn't do the test for it, and that it won't have shown up on a "normal" test. Hey ho!! But at least he is getting the best care here, even though his new mummy is a crying wreck..lol I will not give up on him and I will keep him alive and try everything regardless of cost. I may be broke afterwards but if it means I have lodger cat with me for many years then it will be worth it.
Ooops sorry for the waffle, had to get it off my chest - I know its not flying, sorry penpen and piggers.
Anyway will be back later, off to annoy my friend and her 8 children..eeps!!Mortgage Free as of 20.9.17Declutter challenge 2023, 2024 🏅 🏅⭐️⭐️

Several tonnes of sugarpaste has arrived, so I guess I'd better get on with this cake.
It looks like the weather will be nice, and I don't have to wait in all day now, so I might go blackberrying this afternoon!
