Greenbee - I think your list looks great - looks like that will be a good investment of your money.

Thanks Jue :D I'm glad someone agrees with me... unlike soappie who is FAR too sensible and clearly should be going back to work soon before she starts trying to keep us all in line :p
Your calculator doesnt need a pi button, pi is 3.14159 etc use as many decimal points as you want depends how accurate you want it.
Found it, worked it out (I think... I can never tell whether I'm right or not with my maths :o) and have written it all down - plus my basic recipe and quantities of other ingredients per egg, so I now know how to work out the recipe for any size tin! However, as I don't have an 11" round, i'll have to make it square and cut it out. (with a round tin I'd make it 11" for a 10" cake and then cut the edges and top off...) Next fun bit will be temps and timings...

I've been to the shop this morning, so should be able to get the cake in and then get on with the flying followed by the gardening, with the occasional check to see whether my login/blackberry is working...

ETA - Dusty... what have you started?!

Does anyone have any experience of being an amazon seller? DS has some Nintendo games - I was going to list on e bay but prices seem better on Amazon and they appear to stay listed until sold/60 days...
It appears, from what I can see, tht listing is free. I cannot find out what I would have to pay if the item sold!

Still waiting to find out about this blooming college course! Hopefully I will hear today. Gotta get loads done as my hubby's mate is coming up at the weekend. He suffers like hubby but has been getting proper treatment so at least he can give hubby some advice. Its taken him 2 years to get back into work so hopefully he can help hubby in some way. If anything it will be good for him to talk to someone that truly understands how he feels.

Right getting ready to declutter 2 bratz to school. Back in a bit!!!

I filled in my form on Thursday thinking it would take ages for them to sort out... my boss authorised it thinking it would take ages and between me leaving the house on Friday and getting home it was done! It should be re-enabled today by someone on the user account management team who wants some data from my archives...

I filled the form in as I didn't trust them to complete the paperwork after I'd left, and lets just say, having my email account open with an out of office on them is far too useful for them. I want it cut off!

As for the blackberry, I have no idea what's up... apparently it should say gprs in lower case and it actually says it in upper case, and no matter how many times I take the battery out or how long for, it won't reset... phone still works though

If I am to be a smurf, can I be Nat Smurfling - who talks to the animals? DH is always telling me off for talking to our neighbours cats!:D

I've sold books - Amazon deducts the selling fee once the item is sold.

We had rain first thing but now we have a bit of blue sky. I need to start on the front room today. DD is moving back at the weekend for an unknown length of time - they put their notice in on the flat BEFORE they had a completion date for the flat her bloke's Mum is buying for him. Hey ho....

Greenbee - I thought your list was sensible too. Especially the wood burner. We love ours, best investment we have made even though the money would have been better spent on a new boiler. When DH gets his bonus we always allow ourselves 10% each for frittering then it feels like a treat but the bulk goes into the building works.

Exciting day - the new bathroom suite is being delivered! Goodbye avacado green, hello classic white - well eventually, when DH has time. It isn't straight forward because the en suite needs plumbing in at the same time. Found some tiles I like in BnQ (Gold mosaic) but at £75 per square meter I don't think so. Even just doing the back wall of the walk in shower would be £225. Also a replacement central heating control - finally found one that is compatable for £50 so we will no longer have to have the hot water on 24 hours a day and the fuel bill may drop from £200 per month. And some books from the book people (shh, DH may be reading this....)

Rose - thanks for the idea re Woolies - they do do lunch boxes but not the ones they want. Glad you didn't crack and get the cake. Hard work having things like that in the house. If you can get them fresh dates taste just like caramel and are just lovely without being calorific.

So far this morning I have S&Sd the kitchen. I need to hoover urgently as the floors are grim (the joy of too many animals). Must just move the landrover over so they can get the pallets past, and tidy the path in case the boys have strewn it with toys.

I didn't watch the smurfs but I do remember the song. I think I had better be Hefty Smurf, DH has a very bad back so I do all the lifting round here. This is not a negative on my now suitably svelte figure, but a comment on my strength!
