I need to get the boys new lunch boxes - after Transformers and Thomas ones - can anyone suggest which Supermarket please? Not been in one for months. I do miss Woolworths which would have been simplest.
Woolies is online now, wonder if they sell them on their website?

    Hugs Ellen

Elly, you are really amazing and I take my hat off to you. You are the one person who hasn’t given up on that girl, and it sounds like she is just pushing and pushing you. I hope she realises what a great mum she’s got and that she doesn’t need to do all that stuff. She hasn’t got any mental conditions has she, like depression/kleptomania or anything? It must be really hard on your LO’s. I hope they will be ok

Jinky, it’s so hard being away from the one you love, so don’t feel bad about moaning about it or feeling down. Hope you can be together soon

    Kaz the garden looks great!

Quillion did you find the source of the leak?

Merlin and FFP, I would like to echo what Valli said, you have both done really well coming through those experiences

I'm really pleased with what I've acheived today - the LR is spotless (apart from areas which still need decluttering but I will get to those), the kitchen floor is (nearly) tidy and will be hoovered tomorrow, and I've cooked up a big batch of sweet and sour pork. Plus online banking, working how much I need to save each month to pay all car-related bills as they come up, and online shopping. Have a bit of a dilemna there - I know I shouldn't but I've ordered a chocolate fudge cake. I really really want it, but I also want to lose weight. I've deleted it from the list once but then reordered it. Help! :o

DH is very happy - he is watching a programme about Caribbean cooking and he's absolutely loving it! It's bringing back happy memories of when he went to Domenica where his mum is from. He loves it there and loves the food, I can sense some Caribbean food coming up in our house!

Rose - if you really want to lose weight, delete it from the order and buy yourself some carrots, celery, radishes etc to eat with low-fat hummus or cottage cheese. Or some nice fruit and low fat plain yogurt. You need to wean your tastebuds off sugar. Its a LOT easier to diet if you don't have the bad food in the house in the first place.

Thank you all again for the hugs and words of advice and listening to my rants. I was also thrown out of the house at 16 i was pregnant with DS(now 18)with the words "it will never last and you are a stupid !!!!!" ringing in my ears, and yep she was right it didnt last forever but we got to 17 yrs before we split and had 5 beautiful children. The relationship with my mother never recovered and she died while i was giving birth to DS(2) 4 years ago.I cant say i miss our relationship simply because we didnt have one, but i did vow that i would never let history repeat itself, but it seems that it is and that makes me sad. All i want is for DD to be happy both with herself and the life she chooses.

    :hello:Hello, we're home!

It's been a lovely holiday, fantastic weather - too good really, on two days it was too hot to do anything. I loved Burgundy, I think it's the nicest place we've been in France so far.

Very sadly though, phone call from my sister on Thursday night to tell me that Mum had just died. She had been in hospital with pneumonia, and then came back to the nursing home as she was stable, then suddenly deteriorated. I don't know how I feel at the moment, not real in an odd way. We didn't come back early as it wouldn't have made any difference.

Not sure how the next few weeks are going - I'll fly when I feel like it! Just washing at the moment.

Hugs to you and your family. Its the shock and you were right to finish your holiday xx
:cry:Well I have done nothing so far today!!!! :o

I woke up from my early night with a most horrendous migraine!! Whats worse is I KNOW what caused it and wish I could give the reason a swift kick up the backside, but he is at work!!! ;)

After an absolutely fantastic latter end of the week I chose to have sunday off to go birthday money shopping at Meadowhall with my mum and little one. :j All I did was ask him to do 2 things!!! Not much to ask surely!

    1. Move some fence panels from my parents (which he had asked for) AND
    2. Clean and declutter the kitchen table!! (I had done the rest!)

Well when we got home Jess asked to go to my parents for a play so I said yes! I then called at their house to find he had not moved the fence panels and when I got home he had barely done a thing to the kitchen besides move a few bits about and reclutter my windowledge!!!!!
    :mad::mad::mad::mad:

I know he works all week but I can't do EVERYTHING myself!!!! I have my good days and bad days (due to illness) and he knows that! (Having a bad day today )

Sorry for moaning but needed to get it off my chest and didnt want to use facebook!!

Ellen hugs for you to chick xxx He goes to work all week but you work 24 7 looking after Jess and him and the house etc etc.
Come rant on here we will make you feel better.

I used to suffer Migraine and had betablockers and Paramax but not had them for years and years.
Triggers for me were filtered coffee the smell not the taste, heaven scent perfume which one of the girls used to wear, i had to ask her to stop wearing it in the end and stress and upset.
If i feel one coming on i eat something bland like plain crisps or a biscuit and drink pleanty of water.
Do you do any excercise as that can help as well. Hope you feel better soon and so glad you like it here i told you you would xx

We should get stars for refferals lol xx

Hi all, well doc signed me off for a month, if no change in 6 months he said he's refer me to the chronic fatigue clinic, however as there has been some improvement he said continue whatever it is I'm doing, he could offer no advice or treatment.

So came back, I've made a lovely tea, a bit ala economy gastronomy, got enough for the next three nights from tonights roast chicken (organic free range of course) ;).

Done 2 loads of washing, stardropped the disgustingly mucky bathroom, binned loads of empty bottles and harpiced the toilet.

Also swept the kitchen floor and changed the bed sheet on our bed.

Just resting at mo, now I'm not at work for a while I've got tons of things to catch up on when I feel able. I feel a list coming on.

I'm trying to work out quantities for a cake I need to make and the maths is probably going to drive me insane... I know I'll probably end up making the cake square and cutting it out as it will save finding the right size round tin, but just in case, can anyone tell me how to work out the volume in cubic inches of a cake 10" in diameter and 3" deep? That way I can work out how many eggs I need and work out the rest of the recipe from there... (I need to know HOW to work it out though, so I can make a note of it for future reference/different sizes... actually, thinking about it, I need to make an 11" cake to cut the 10" one out of...)

Suppose I should go to bed early seeing as I didn't go for a walk so will need to get up early (we all know how well that's working at the moment!) to go to the shop as my sugarpaste delivery is due at some point tomorrow (so an enforced day at home... maybe I can get the nasty flying jobs like floor-scrubbing and ironing done, and maybe even a bit of gardening...!)

All i want is for DD to be happy both with herself and the life she chooses.

I remember at 18 i missed a period and told my mum she went beserk. I had been with my boyfriend for 4 years but she called me all the names under the sun. It turned out i was not pregnant and starting with the PCOS which was bought out after the shock of losing my grandad.

My mum was a cow with me i was such a responsible girl i went on the pill when i decided the time was right for me and took several of my girlfriends to the family planning group to make sure they were safe and got checked out properly. Not one of my inner circle girls got pregnant but lots of the others did.
I did not really give my mum and dad alot of trouble in fact never really being the youngest i learnt from the others mistakes and learnt that my time out with my bf was dependant on trust making sure i always got hom just before time to fine that i was allowed later and later times for being good. I went to the pub with my grandad at 14 and he dropped us off at the over 18's disco and picked us up on his way home it was great.

Elly i have not been in your situation so i would not like to comment on what to do but she sounds like she is a very confused young lady. I did a positive parenting course which concentrated on praise and rewards for good behaviour. Advice was to pick a behaviour to tackle and do that week by week. Give lots and lots of praise which is hard when they are deliberatlry trying to annoy and hurt you and the littlies. Your daughter is jelous of the littleies can you find the time to spend with her just the two of you so you can both learn to be friends again.

I am no expert but i know you love her very ver much and deep down she will love you too.

My mum and i now get on great but it took awhile. When my dad died she was awful and dad was always the peace keeper so i just let her get on with it i had enough on my plate. There were times though when my dh could have throttled her and when i was suffering really bad with depression i had to ask her to leave as she made it 10 times worse and nearly pushed me right over the edge one day but thats another story.

Jinky- If you feel down sweety you feel down and no matter how trivial you think things are they are your trivial things so talk to us and we can help you xxx
