I'm both upset and extremely cross today. Upset because I learned last night that Toby, the resident dog at The Globe pub has passed away. He was old, and it wasn't unexpected, but it's still made me feel sad,

Cross.... no, MEGA-cross:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: because (deep breath) Mr LW had an email yesterday which was a "reply all" to one Friend H had sent asking if a bunch of mates were going out for a drink tonight. Friend P said he couldn't make it, as he's working, and wouldn't be around for the next fortnight at least. Friend P is the one supposed to be visiting the wolves with us on Sept 13th. So Mr LW tries to ring him - no reply. Mr LW sends a text, asking if he's still coming on 13th. This morning he gets a text back, No he can't make it. I mean, if we hadn't chased him up, when was he going to tell us?:mad::mad::mad: We now have to try and find someone else to go (it's a visit for 4 people) otherwise Mr LW will have to ring and say it'll just be the two of us. I can understand work getting in the way, but he could've had the courtesy to let us know as soon as he knew iyswim. And breathe.....

cwta excellent way to spend 15quid if you ask me.

unity hope ds is ok and there are no problems or anything.

whitney must be feeling better, todays pill took 6 attempts before she gave in and swallowed it.

Friend has just rung and asked me if I'll be in a bit later. She needs to talk to me :eek: I asked if it was something bad and just got the response "I'll explain when I get there" :eek: I've got knots in my stomach now and feel a bit sick.

paws crossed for everyone with appointment's ect. poor lamewolf what a let down for furry visit ..good thing you got that e-mail........i can understand it making you so cross.. i've had a few so called friends ring night before or on morningsaying o i can't go........you soon not invite them again ,,well it very sunny her and put on the washing machine only for the grey clouds to appear .........rats......

i have a friend that phones and invites for coffee .......yes..always doom........and things to sort out/phone/fix for her......but is friend and try to be there or as soon as my legs and body are able to go. last time 8 year old daughter answered door mum in kitchen in tears , we are getting the water cut off in 48 hours !..yikes ......mmmmmmm what to do first.....

I know, when you don't get any inkling of what's up, you automatically think the worst, don't you? I hope it's nothing too dreadful; whatever it is, don't commit yourself to more than you can cope with. It's lovely to help friends out, but you have to think of your own wellbeing as well iyswim.

lw Hmmm. Sounds like you have a Frenemy there. I can only hope it is coz he was embarrassed to cancel, but that still doesn't make it acceptable. After such a kind offer of yours for him to go too. Ungrateful swine. May a dog wolf pee up his leg *g*

pcl Perhaps at last Whitney is realising it's not worth the fight. Always a fun thing to try to do - give a pill to a cat.

Just got back from docs and cyst on leg will be removed and biopsied, Cyst in mouth too, but that has to be done at the hossie as it's a little more complicated when it's in the gob. He's made me appt for nerve conductivity test prior to operation on carpal tunnel syndrome. Shame the surgery and the hospital don't do frequent flyer points *g*

Ooh, sounds unpleasant, but it'll be a good thing to get it all sorted.
