Morning, yesterday was long day as we went to our the house we are renting to measure up for one or two things to see if they'd fit...

Feeling it now and have to go out later....

Anyway I can vouch for silent night being pantaloons, the mattress that is currently digging into me after only having it a year is guess what Silent Night....:rotfl:

Sharon I would definately complain about your experience...and yes nebulisers do make you feel very shaky afterwards, think it's the adrenhlyin (apologies for the spelling there, my brain is mush right now)

My mind has gone blank there were other people and things you have been trhough and I can't remeber now....Apologies but a hug to everyone that needs it...
  • cwta she has been a lot more vocal and had more energy yesterday and this morning (i hadnt realised how much she was flaking out exhausted until she was doing so less yesterday), she has gone off chicken and tuna and demanded whiskas this mornign while chloe happily scarfed the chicken, at least she has stopped being sick and is eating more than treats today. she even went so far as to tell me to get up and feed her, which she hasnt actually done for months. i think/hope that counts as somewhat better, and that it lasts....but if it is down tot he pills then that means he was right an she is hitting congestive heart failure. i intend to ahve a good chat with him on monday about what i can expect and everthing. luckily my sister is paying vet bills for me :)

have a good time with you best friend this weekend, good luck with the gp appointment and the cleaning :)
  • neh Sorry - I never did come back and welcome you properly. Are you all excited about the new place? I moved house about 2 and a half months ago and it's unbelievably knackering, so I hope you will have lots of help and if you need any tips to make it easier, I'm almost an expert at moving now (I once moved 8 times in 1 year).
I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to break :D

Don't apologise if you anything like me fibro fog sets in and it's a couple of days before I rememeber...:rotfl:

I wasn't keen on the house the first time we looked but we have gone back twice now since and I really like the place....It wouldn't be somewhere I would buy admittedly but it will be a really nice place to spend a 6 months or a year...

I am gong to be ordering boxes this morning, my poor OH is run off his feet next week as it's a big oil and gas conference in this city next week and then the following week when we should have moved unfortunately he has to go abroad for a couple of days so I have a plan to sit down on the sofa and pack boxes...Most of my stuff is already packed as it's in storage but I do seem to have accumlated stuff here since I moved in with my husband....It's a small flat though so not enormous amounts to move (famous last words) 3/4 van loads. Mainly boxes so not much furniture....We got a good deal on a van last night, hired it for a week so we can go down to my mum's to pick up my furniture there....

8 times in 1 year

    and I thought I was bad...:rotfl:

    Morning all,

Well this is it, today i am all alone, well apart from Perry the pup, who is sulking in his bed.

DS has just left for a mid-morning start to school, year 10 already *sigh, all the new ones started at nine, and the rest of the school start at 11.05.

and now officially house bound i guess, i still need a ramp to get my electric wheelchair out of my front door and onto the walkway outside the door (i live in a block of flats), been ringing social services who say someone will ring back, the dust is collecting on the phone as i wait. and yesterday they said i needed to be assessed for their help via Occupational health, fine i say....6 months waiting list, i've waited 2 months, 4 to go.

I also told them that my fire door is upstairs in my bedroom, and i would not be able to race upstairs to get to it if there was a fire, oh you'll be fine i was told, its a timber framed building i say, oh they say, someone will call you back... :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Sat up half the night writing out the esa questionnaire last night, boy did that hurt, the helpline to get someone to help me write it is constantly engaged and so is cab phone line hehehe. so there i was starting to feel settled and starting to get into a routine of doing not much, and now have to worry if i need a medical knowing that us fibros always fail and have to appeal.

and a pathways interview to try and get to... but not till the end of the month and i have rang to ask will they do a home visit due to not being able to get out with my electric wheels.

anyway enough about me, how is everyone today.. remember its practically the weekend :D

Bigzippy the day is drawing nearer hugs to you, you'll have to change your name to Mrs Bigzippy :rotfl::rotfl:
can you discreatly wear a vest or something or is it a off the shoulder thing.. i know what you mean about the cold :(

Hi to everyone else, hope your day is not to stressed
Life is about give and take, if you can't give why should you take?
  • pap have you tried dial uk? my local one has an answerphone, but they return calls 24 hours later and will arrange appointments to help with forms or advise etc. worth a try?

Sorry to here your dads had to go back into hospital-hopefully they can make him more comfortable soon.
Thanks for all your support -l phoned the community health council this morning and of course the perdon l need to speak to is not there till tomorrow so have left my number-if l dont hear by 10 am l will phone again.I think the guy needs a word in his ear -dont want him strung up just get him to think about what it feels like to be the patient like l was and improve things for next person.
Have had a nice day at support centre -Saw oncologist and she has stopped my steroids as its giving me awful stomache problems -so relieved!!!!She also got them to give me some meds via a mask/nebuliser and it so so so eased my chest so have to use inhaler 4x day till she reviews me next week.Came away feeling better as the breathing /wheezing is scaring me a bit so hopefully this will improve things.
Well am going to have an early night -half hour on my xstitch -its almost done-then bed to read my excellant book thats got me hooked but not getting far as fall asleep reading it after few pages!!!

Hi Sharon - just out of interest what are you reading? Like CWTA and Suep, I am an avid reader too and always on the look out for something to add to my list/stash ;)
unity did you make it to the stitch and !!!!!? .

Hi Purple, I did indeed get to the 'Stitch 'n' B1tch' and really enjoyed myself :j I took my cushion , it's one of those wedge ones with a hole at the back to let your coccyx rest easier and I'm sure it helped. I also phoned the pain clinic, told them I haven't felt any improvement. I also told them that I hadn't had the transforaminal epidural and hoped I wasn't going to have to go back to the end of the waiting list for that as it had made such a difference. l was told that they don't have my notes back yet and once they do, my consultant will have a look and decide when to get me in for the procedure. To be on the safe side, I think I will type a letter confirming this conversation and send it in to the consultant .

Well I'm exceedingly tired after not getting much sleep last night and having to be up at six to get DS through to hospital for his op. He should be in theatre now and I have to ring in 40 miinutes to find out how he is. The weather up here is (as the song goes) 'frightful' so I'll have to pop into town for some of those jogging pants that fasten down the sides with velcro or zips - as it's going to be far too cold for him to be in shorts .. He got in from work yesterday to find that he has an interview for another placement on 22nd September - but at least this one is just in the next town ;)

I think I'll risk a nap now, either that or a strong cup of Carte Noir :D I'm literally dropping off after every couple of words.

Chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate will help. You know it makes sense :D

Just picked up the phone and booked myself onto a one day course on digital photography at local college - not a bad way to spend £15.

That's excellent, I hope the e-mail I sent on the DSLR was useful. I have just been in touch with my local authority to request a photography course as everything they run is more computer than camera based.

I was thinking about chocolate just this morning and that's odd since it hasn't played a big part in my thoughts since I started the Thyroxine.

Just phoned hospital and DS is out of theatre and in recovery :T. I have to ring back before we go through for visiting, which starts at 2 p.m. Paws crossed please people :A:A:A yer all angels :T

  • Unity, yes email was helpful thank you. Helped me narrow down choices and my new baby was just delivered (Nikon D60). Tis nice and light to hold, has anti-shake etc and scope to upgrade or just point and shoot. Have even found someone who wants to buy my old compact camera, so will get some easy pennies towards the deal.

Paws and legs etc crossed for the little man - however old he is, he'll want his Mum *g*
