Just popping back briefly to wish Good Luck to all with medical appts in the next few days - Sue's Dad, Unity, Unity's DH and DS, and anyone else I have inadvertantly missed. Oh, and also Whitney, for her vet visit.:o

Am supposed to be at the hosp myself next Tues afternoon, so will be asking you all to cross paws/legs/other appendages :D for me then.

For what it's worth, our new bed came from Dreams, and I think it has their own label on the mattress (sorry, can't go and look, as I can't manage to remove the fitted sheet unaided without hurting my hands), and we're both finding it very comfortable.

    Thanks for your recommendations...

Today has worn me out wth so many things going on so just chilling out now...

Good luck to anyone visitng hospitals....

As for cats well my friend couldn't get her cat to take tablets so had to take it back to the vet and he gave him an injection in the end...

Thanks girls :T just got back from GP's. Both DH and I both needed blood tests and expected an appointment next Wednesday - but then the nurse saw we only needed three between us and did them straight away. I think DH was hoping to get away from the place and quietly 'forget' about them :p. Anyway he's been referred to the eye hospital and I'm having my thyroid checked again plus cholesterol.

GP checked my injection site and said they've damaged a vein, so it will take ages for the bruising to go down and did I want any cream for it? I declined, telling him that I'm not in the habit of exposing that part of my anatomy willy nilly :o:D, so he had a laugh at that. TBH this was one of the things I was warned was likely to happen and at least if you are warned - you don't feel so bad. He was genuinely quite sad to hear that I haven't felt any benefit this time (in fact it's actually a bit worse) but I've said I am ever the optimist and just think that because they had to do extra - it is taking longer to settle down than it did last time. It sounds reasonable to me anyway ;).

LW I will cross everything possible for you next Tuesday and hope everything goes fine.

Suep I am keeping my fingers crossed for your dad as well and hope he gets selected for the treatment.

Beds - Ours is electric with the memory foam mattress enclosed in a special thick zipped cover - so it doesn't get too hot. I am really getting the benefit of the electrics just at present as it means I can adjust the height of both the head, feet and knees. It looks just like a normal double bed - but there are two individual mattresses and two sets of electrics so we can each have the position we like (0ooerr missus! ;)) even if it does mean buying single sheets for the mattress and a king-sized duvet cover.
Some people hear voices, some see invisible people. Others have no imagination whatsoever :D
  • unity sounds like it was a good thing as far as dh went re being caught for the blood tests there and then.

lw i too will cross everything on tuesday, but you may have to remind me i need to do so on monday please.

im supposed to be asleep right now, but because i want to sleep at this time of day, or a couple of hours ago would have done, i cant sleep.

is there any discount with electricity companies for ppl who are ill?

probably not..but getting worried i don't really have any heating in my home apart from 2 night storage heaters one in my room and one ds's room
Life is about give and take, if you can't give why should you take?

paparika......gas/electric.if on benefits you can get i think up to 20 %off bills .it's based on your money and your bill amount. this year i have spent so far 1/2 year else where.. so no for me ..but they said to phone back in new year and i should get it. sorry can't link it. if you go to your gas/electric site look for low income/benefit/can't pay link..you can phone them or if look really hard, you can find a form, down load to fill in and send off, think this is best option.
water..... you can get reduced if more than 3 kids school age...medical probs..i.e need baths more, washing machine on more due to ...
    hope this is some help

surprise wedding shower explains why you were quiet yesterday then :) looking forward to the details.
  • I can't remember what my matress is, but it's the one where the Hippo and the Duck (?) advertise it. Guess which one I am
It was about £250 in a sae 3 or so years ago and is nice and firm so I lie on top of it rather than in it iyswim.

Good luck for everyone's appointments - Uinty sounds like you have quite a week on with various things. I so hope that bruising dies down and that the relief finaly kicked in.

sue Fingers crossed for your Dad and also that your life calms down a little.

lw Will do my best to remember tuesday, but will start hoping it goes well now and store it up :D

bz Ooooh! Suprise bridal shower! Do tell :D

I had a dream last night that I stumbled across two Hospital Specialists who had about 8 of us together with similar problems and promised us that they would not stop testing until they got to the bottom of things and we were all referred to specialists who would help us.
Now if it would just become real ........
I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to break :D
