the wedding ,the wedding is coming :j:j:j
well totaly worn myself out , and took the dreaded pill last night to get to sleep either that or cut off both arms as so painful. now all dopey ans sleepy.
lamewolf your comments(on other thread) just lifted me , and made me fill better, as you ( and i ) have noticed there seems to be a couple of real bad un's posting at the moment, i have seen about 3 ! with very nasty words aimed at the poor poster.....so sad
beds i think silent night do a "spring bed with memory foam top"this is quiet lovely..bliss....i tried memory foam , i have like a floor cushion ..only thing is it about 8in thick but when you sit on it , it goes down to 1/2 -1 inch thick so you feel like your still sitting on the floor..this applies to mattresses ..if you get memory foam mattress it has to be very, very thick. thay are made of latex type stuff no good it you have a allergies ! they mode to your sharpe so hard to turn over ..there like marmite....try out in the shop but lay for at least 1/2 hour ...i use to sell beds....if i was getting bed i would have this silent night one then a myers.
Not keen on toppers as I prefer just a matress...Apparently Silent Night isn't waht it used to be and folks on here are recommending not to buy Silent Night or any within that group....0 -
:eek:OMG I go offline for three days, and the thread doubles in length!
I haven't a hope in hell of replying to everything, so I shan't try, other than to welcome our new friends.
BZ if it's any help, Mr LW had two Best Men. We could lend you one of them.:D
I'm washed out today; I sorta lost Sunday - you know, when you have a day when you can barely get out of bed, let alone anything else, and there's no reason for it that you can think of.:( So of course I spent yesterday trying to do the jobs I had scheduled for Sunday and yesterday.... well, you get the picture.
Pcl I've no doubt you've seen something like this before, but it's always worth re-reading: http://www.mamarocks.com/how_to_give_your_cat_a_pill.htm

I've got a memory foam mattress and they do get hot at night, but it is the softest mattress I've found so Im going to stick with it.
Just been to my Dads, he's been to the Harly street clinic and has to have a PET scan before they know if he's suitable for the Cyber Knife treatment, so more waiting, but at least they didn't say he's not suitable for it.
He's got a plum tree in his garden and I came away with half a carrier bag full of plums, I havn't got enough jars for jam so will probably make a crumble with them.
PCL I hope you manage to get Whitney to take her pills, its not easy with pets is it, poor little thing, I do hope she's going to be alright.
cwta I sooooo owe you an email, and will get round to it soon, I promiseReal stupidity beats artificial intelligence every time.

paw i remember trying that...the butter got licked off as did icecream., meat got eaten and the pill spat out, likewise tuna. shes a brat for it. shes not one for cat treats of any sort either, having already gone of the ones i found last week that she actually ate and asked for.
cab were deffinitely wrong when she said my dla would be reviewed due to me volunteering, i just spoke to dla and they said its fine and would only be reviewed if i was reporting an improvement in my problems.0 -
lw thats ace, thank you
hope ou manage to rest up today and feel less washed out tomorrow.
sue that is good that they havent ruled him out straight off, fingers crossed the scan sows he is suitable for it.0 -
Hey Black Paw - Just goes to show how out of it I am - I thought you said BZ will have to blow the best man:o:o:o Is this some sort of custom I haven't heard of?
Reminds me of the joke about the gay bank robber - he shot the safe and blew the guard! :rotfl:
you make this sound so funny :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
You know how it is Black Paw - some days you just can't read things correctly:rolleyes::D.
I'm off to the GP's this afternoon - time for the thyroxine review and also want him to take a look at the injection site - just to check things are going okay . I have to say at this stage - my back doesn't feel any betterand I really should be feeling the benefit by now. DH also has an appointment and needs a referral to eye hospital as the optician has noticed 'crystalisation' at the back of his eye. We suspect it may be down to having his eyes lasered a few years back.
I have the Glaucoma clinic on Thursday at 9.25 then have to ring pain clinic to let them know how things are. I just hope I have something positive to report by then:o.
Friday sees DS in hospital for his cruciate ligament reconstruction - hopefully he should be out on Saturday complete with splint and crutches and ready for his 21st birthday next week .Some people hear voices, some see invisible people. Others have no imagination whatsoever

Just popping back briefly to wish Good Luck to all with medical appts in the next few days - Sue's Dad, Unity, Unity's DH and DS, and anyone else I have inadvertantly missed. Oh, and also Whitney, for her vet visit.:o
Am supposed to be at the hosp myself next Tues afternoon, so will be asking you all to cross paws/legs/other appendagesfor me then.
For what it's worth, our new bed came from Dreams, and I think it has their own label on the mattress (sorry, can't go and look, as I can't manage to remove the fitted sheet unaided without hurting my hands), and we're both finding it very comfortable. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Thanks for your recommendations...
Today has worn me out wth so many things going on so just chilling out now...
Good luck to anyone visitng hospitals....
As for cats well my friend couldn't get her cat to take tablets so had to take it back to the vet and he gave him an injection in the end...0 -
Hi peeps!
Been lurking lately but was just wanting to get my two penneth worth in on this cat malarkey. We used to crush Gideon's tablets up and mix them into her food.
I'm off for my first physio tomorrow and I can't wait! I'll probably be disappointed though. Just hoping it relaxes me and gives me enough energy for my Pathways interview in the afternoon
Welcome to our new friends. I hope you stick with us.
Right off back to lurking again for a while.0
