Unity I haven't checked all the way through the episodes yet, but the earlier ones appear at the bottom of the page, so fingers crossed.

And step away from Eric and Bill *g*

    Thank you Cat and Unity,

I don't know whether I am classed as disabled as such, never really thought about it that way !!! So do you think dialuk would still help.I suppose I will have to wait till personnel get back in touch.Still not had a diagnosis either just get through the day with co-codamol and amytriptoline at night.I think they want to sort my depression out first because they felt this is contributary to the pain !!!!

    Cheers me dears xxxx
  • hassie depression can and does count as a disability, they will help anyway, they never asked me what disability i had or anything, but i was enquiring about dla being affected by something (one of you gramamr bods is it effected or affected?). they ahve also helped friends with dla claim forms for various things so i dont think they would turn you away. i would go ahead and call them, if your local ones are like mine it will be an answer phone and they will ring you back a day or two later and giving them the basic facts will enable them to say yay or nay to a constructive dismissal claim which may help with deciding your next step iykwim.

It's affected. In this case ;)

And you'd be surprised hassie: you don't have to have a diagnosis to be classed as disabled. Technically the wording/definition is something like - a disability is something that has a significant effect on your ability to maintain a "normal" standard of living for a period of more than x time (usually about 6 weeks minimum). I doubt they'd turn you away anyway, as they'll get a lot of folks stuck in limbo like you are and we've all been before.:)

I've not sufficiently calmed, or worked myself up, to explain about the woes of last night yet. Suffice it to say, at this present moment, that DF tore a strip off him, reduced him to, not just tears, an actual sobbing wreck. And is making him apologise to me. Which should be interesting as I'm still seething. I'm not one for confrontation tho, so my IBS is obv kicking off with me:rolleyes: which makes me even more angry with him -esp as DF only came home at like 4-4.30am again (we went through this before the stag do too) and then we talked about it, so by the time I got to sleep it was like 6am. DF's warned him that I may well explode and he'll just have to wear it. I'm not sure I know where the line is anymore tho, and I don't want to go too far in my rage....

Too late me dear :D the sight of Alexander Skarsgard in a grey suit plus Stephen Moyer in a black leather jacket has got me all unnecessary :p.

I found and watched the first episode of The Tudors on-line and will be able to watch the first half of the second episode that I missed on Friday via BBC iPlayer - IYSWIM?

Don't worry about this at all and remember you can always get ACAS involved, they will have all the latest legislation on employment law. I covered this at university when the standard text book was Selwyn's Employment Law. Unlike me, it is updated every year ;) - so you should be able to find it in your local reference library, if you want to check things out for yourself.

    We got the property....:j

Had a mare of a day with the doctors and the job centre trying to get these benefits sorted so i've been exhausted trying to sort it all out so at least that has cheered me up...

One thing I wanted to ask is we have to go and buy a bed as well as our other furniture as we have nothing to sleep on until we get my bed which is residing at my mum's 330 odd miles away and we decided we would get a new bed to sleep on in the meantime and then put that one in the guest bedroom, so anyway my question is what do you guys find comfortable in terms of mattresses?

I liked a silent night one but after reading reviews on here I don't think we would go with that one....I did have a memory sort of foam one at a rented flat I had once but it didn't suit me at all....

I don't like soft beds as I find it makes my pain worse if it isn't supported well iyswim....

As it's going to be a guest bed our budget including a frame ideally needs to be £500 or a fair bit below if possible...

Any suggestions as to which ones to try...?

and the news gets worse the docotrs rang back and said there is nothing they can do they can't give backdated medical certificates anymore even for a month so I can't reclaim the 8 months i have done without benefit because of beenfits lot error...

I am gutted and so upset...

They said they could do a letter but they'd have to charge me £15 and what good would that do, I already have letters stating I have fibromyalgia...
