Good for you ! You chose to act when faced with a problem !0 -
your LL is not psychic - and if this HAS got so much worse, you have a duty as a responsible tenant to inform him at the earliest opportunity - even if it is Sunday
Just to add to the bit you've added - it hasn't got 'so much worse'. It was that bad when we got back from holiday, it's just been gradually growing. I have already explained it to the landlord - they were more than welcome to come and view it and still are. I will phone them again; I hope to hear from him soon, as the plumber said he would phone him about the details of what needed doing and when, and I don't have the plumber's number. I'm hardly going to wait in all week, on the off-chance he comes round. I started this thread while the plumber was actually here because I wanted to check it was legit for him to do the work, before I started chasing my landlord about getting him back asap - if it turned it it wasn't OK, that would be a bit pointless.
I've only had that info from a reliable source this morning.0 -
Lol, you posted about your leak, your athsma bla bla bla, no fascination for us - just a bit better than watching the cricket, oh maybe not....:rotfl:
What on earth are you reading it for then!
Off to the cricket with you!
If it wasn't my leak I'd find it duller than very, very dull, believe me.0 -

That's more than a month and is certainly not acceptable.I am glad all of you are all right.Given your experiences,I would say the landlord got off lightly with just having to refund your deposit.0 -

It's Sunday!
Surely you have something better to do?
I'll pop back later and see if there've been any more helpful, constructive comments re leaks. In the meantime, feel free to post as much as you want here. You obviously like this thread, for reasons best known to yourself. Please discuss the state of my ceiling/landlord-tenant relations etc etc for as long as excites you.

It is funny when people post asking some quesions and when they are told what they do not wan't to hear, they go off in a huff ordering people not to post unless it is " constructive" meaning-it tells me what I want to hear.0
