just asking because i saw this
    http://wck2.companieshouse.gov.uk/36ecc9b65b3f267c00d73e49f0e5f92d/compdetails

does that mean they are about to go bust??
:p It is better to be thought of as an idiot than to open your mouth and remove all doubt
  • I cannot access webcheck on companies house at the moment but PHONES 2 U DIRECT.CO.UK LIMITED financial year ends 31st January 2008 and as yet thier accounts for Feb 1st 2006 -31st Jan 2007 have not yet been filed.

You have 9 months from the end of your financial year to file latest accounts, before penalties are issued and the IR start chasing for corporation tax.

Being overdue doesn't mean you are going bust, but if you have some CCj's against you, it doesn't matter wether it is 2 or 200, as to your future trading.
  • I had to issue legal proceedings to receive some/all of my cashback
Ok i've never posted a message on one of these sites, nor am i the kinda guy to complain about customer service etc etc but i just have to warn anyone out there thinking of getting a phone with Mobile Rainbow to look elsewhere.
The cashback idea is one big scam, I was asked to send my bills after 6, 9 and 12 months. I done so by recorded delivery in the time asked and am still waiting for my second and third payments. My first payment was about 3 months overdue and was only recieved after I hassled them for ages and after being kept on hold for ridiculously long periods of time (45 minutes in one case). I have been waiting 4 months for my second payment and have been told on 2 occasions it will be with me in 2 weeks, that was 6 weeks ago and counting, and on the first occasion i was told it was in the post, that was about 2 months ago (I know Royal Mail are bad but that takes the biscuit). God knows when I'll receive my 3rd payment, if ever so be warned. The call centre is also in New Delhi and they refuse to give you any UK contact numbers, i managed to find it out but they said the manager Sanjiv Singh was on holiday (rather convenient) and they don't know when he'll be back and have no contact number for him (what a surpsrise). So steer clear of this company unless you enkjoy being ripped of or conned in which case they are highly recommended.
  • please can someone help, i can't geth through on their phoneline.does anybody have a numbe which they recently got through on?

    thanks
  • My 12 month contract is now finished and I've only received one cashback payment of 3 even though I have sent all claims correctly and via Recorded Delivery. Every time I phone they say it's coming any time between 7-14 days (the term differs every time). I speak to a different person every time but they all have the same script. I've phoned Trading Standards who have advised me to send them a letter giving them 14 days to pay otherwise I will take legal action. The 14 days has come and gone and I am now preparing to make a claim to the Small Claims Court. I believe this will cost £65, although I think this should be recovered with costs. I've reached the end of my tether - this has been going on for more than 3 months and I'm told that making a claim at court is a long process. They could have disappeared by then. I'm owed £240. Don't be fooled by their excuses, they have no intention of paying. I urge everyone eligible to make a claim. They're relying on people not bothering.

Just to warn people i tried to claim for the full amount after only send off two cashback claims and they filed a defence to the whole claim stating that they only owed me for 2 cashbacks as the other had not happened yet i.e. 2 x £75 + £25 = £175

Would it still be worth persuing for the full amount?

    Cheers

A Defendant can always put in a defence - no need to worry too much.

By making a defence it buys them more time before they have to pay up - and doesn't cost them anything yet. They hope you will get scared off and withdraw the case. If you do, then they won't have to pay for the legal fees you've already paid.

If you claimed in accordance with the contract terms, and they breached the contract by not paying you, then their breach was a "fundamental" one which allows you to pursue them for the whole amount due on the original (now breached) contract.

They have automatically put into my account 2 cashbacks of £75 (£150) + £25 towards legal costs (£175 total)

Should i just let the claim carry on?

If i do i may need to go to court? Is that correct?

Cheers for all your help on this one
