Finally a piece of good news - I hope!
Just been told that First Plus have given Deloittes all the interest rate figures they needed and my claim is being passed to 'claims handling' today who apparently are going to work out what is owed (are they the same as the calculations dept?) Couldn't be specific about how long this step would take though. Can anyone shed any light?
Any other Wilmslow bodies making progress?
There appears to be conflicting information again! I was told yesterday that all Wilmslow financial cases are still on hold pending investigation into who received money before they went into administration.
AND that nothing would be done until the investigation was completed with no timescale available.
Ive not received any communication from them for two months when I received a standard processing your claim letter.
This is so frustrating its been two years since I started the original complaint with no light at the end of the tunnel!0 -

They tried to tell me that the claims were on hold so I had to correct them that mine had now been released - the person then read my notes and finally realised what was going on. It would be worth you chasing them to find out why you haven't been sent a form yet asking you to confirm whether or not you you've received any money. Also send them a complaint email about how they've handling things - they respond within 2 days and have 15 days to send a full response.
Good luck.0 -

Well, it would seem that the hold is officially off!! Not good for us rejected by the FSCS. FF liquidators have advised we accepted full and final payment in 2008. They gave us £2k and FSCS have totally mis understood our claim - not a mis sell but a rip off we were claiming the out standing amount. I was devastated but now I am just livid. All this time waiting FSCS are a complete waste of time in this instance:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:0 -
Received a call from Deloitte today to be told that my case was released from hold last Friday. It has gone "downstairs" today. I asked what that meant and was told that it had gone down to the calculations team which should take a matter of days and would then be referred back to FSCS for their agreement which should take around another couple of weeks. We will wait and see. Interestingly I was not sent any form to fill in and send back but have complained on a couple of occasions about how the process has been dealt with.0

I have been very lucky I sent my form in that I received from the FSCS on the 4th January 2012 and I received a cheque on 15th February. Super quick and after reading on here I thought I would wait a long time.
Good luck everyone :j0 -
