  • Hey Di just asking, if it gets passed "downstairs" is it usually the case that your claim has been passed and the calculations start or can they still refuse your claim?. it all seems very confusing

    Hiya

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you.

I was aware that if they were to reject they would have done so at the start, so in my view if the case has been moved on as stated, it should be with the calculation team.;)

  • Hey everyone, I keep meaning to pop on here to update you all, but I've been busy spending!! I am very excited, relieved and thrilled to say that our claim against Picture was successful and we received a lovely cheque from them 2 weeks ago. It took 3 weeks from the day we sent the questionnaire off, to the day we got the cheque so we are so happy with that! Was so easy and so quick!
We have pretty much spent all the money, but it's all gone on things we've been desperately in need of - new bed, which is being delivered next week, probably my favourite purchase as at the moment I am sure it would be more comfortable sleeping on the floor as our bed is that bad!! A new car with isofix so that we can afford a new car seat as my son is approaching the age of needing the next one and we wanted isofix so needed a newer car (53 plate but still the newest car we've ever been able to afford) and savings for our son, a new laptop as our other one was dying, paying off some debt and a few other bits and bobs. It's bloody scary how quick it went and I know it would have been wise to pay off our ppi really but we've been in need of so many of these things that we made the most of it!!

Really happy and encourage anyone who is thinking about it to do it. It's not cost anything and it was so flipping easy!

  • A quick update on my PPI claim, I called my Case Worker @ Deloittes and he is waiting on one final piece of information from Picture in order to pass it through to the calculations department. Im hoping this is good news...fingers crossed!

To all who are going through the claims process...sit tight, keep smiling because hopefully and eventually we will all get our dues.
