    Update. Help anyone?

As above, Premier writers left me a message last Thursday morning to say that they had passed all the info to Deloitte.
So, this morning I phoned my case worker only to be told that they are still waiting on this info!

I just don't know who to believe. (Not entirely sure that my case worker in Deloitte has a notion what he's talking about).

I'm a bit reluctant to phone FSCS again as they have already asked the manager in Deloitte to treat case as urgent, due to me providing evidence of some financial hardship and I think if I phone them again today about Deloitte they will just think I'm being a pain in the a**:p

As far as I know info is sent via e mail in spread sheet format. Or is it sent by snail mail?

    Ideas anyone?

    Hiya

Wonder if its with Deloittes - but in the external mailing system perhaps.
Give the FSCS a ring and tell them what you have been informed by the business.
Do you know how long ago they sent the info?

It may take a few days before they actually have them on their desk, but check anyway, just in case, good luck X:)

It was sent last Thursday, I assume by e mail, but maybe not and it went by snail mail. I'll give it another day and phone FSCS again.

    Thanks, Di.

    Another update!!

As planned I phoned manager in Deloitte this morning who confirmed they have received the info requested from Premier writers.

However, he said that they now need to request EXACTLY THE SAME INFO from Aviva, the underwriters. He has no explanation of why they need to duplicate this other than to confirm that I did not claim on the policy - Premier have already confirmed for them there were no claims on the policy.

I asked very nicely if this could possibly be done urgently.

Sure enough, my case worker phoned an hour later to say that he had phoned Aviva but that I needed to phone them myself to authorise Deloitte to talk to them.

I did this immediately and Aviva told me that as I did not make any claims on the policy they do not hold any details of either me or the policy - which actually makes perfect sense. So they can't allow me to authorise anyone to talk to them because they hold no records about me.

So call back to Deloitte to tell them this. Caseworker seems very unsure what to do now other than again talk to his manager and see if he is allowed to proceed without any info from Aviva.

It's getting to be a bit of a joke now.
  • Some success at last - Deloitte have confirmed that they now have all the info they need and my file is being passed for assessment and calculation.

Does anyone know roughly how long this is likely to take? Deloitte were unable to give me any timescale. My case has been given priority status, don't know if this makes any difference.

Thanks everyone for all your help, K

    Hi Kazza
That is fab news, hopefully you should receive good news on a cheque next week, or maybe the week after at the most, but what I would do is contact them early in the week next week, (FSCS) as its them that sorts the payments out, and they should confirm.;) XX

When my case was passed to the calculation team it took under a week for my cheque to be calculated and then a couple of days for it to be issued.

I certainly hope the cheques should be received and cleared in enough time for christmas. I would give the FSCS a call on Tuesday for an update rather than phoning Deloittes. FSCS will be able to tell you if the information has been sent back to them.

    best of luck

Hi everyone, just an update and so far so good.

I called FSCS this morning and case has now been passed back to them from Deloitte.

So hopefully not long now but I'm having kittens in case they don't uphold my claim!!

Think it should be ok as is classic mis-selling ie all PPI paid up front, self-employed etc so they would have told me by now if it wasn't ok, wouldn't they? Thoughts?!

    Thanks, K

You will be fine, I think the fact it was passed to the calculation team shows that you have one your case.

If it is anything like my case i would expect a cheque to be issued in the next couple of days as the FSCS were quick in issuing the cheque after they received my file back.
