    Thanks

My total NCB on a £12,000 ppi comes to £6,000, 50% of the total ppi. how come your total ppi was £11,200 and you are only due to receive £3324 in total. Is the £11,200 less the first ncb you have already received.

Sorry to keep asking it just seemed a big refund compared to what i had thought.

    That's ok....

We partially settled our loan a couple of years ago, so I don't know how they have re-calculated our NCB.

Overall our NCB should be £5477 but we have already had one payout. I've phoned FSCS today to ask how they've calculated their deductions but they will need to request the file again and then get back to me next week.

    Will keep you posted.
YOUR = belonging to you (your coat); YOU'RE = you are (I hope you're ok)

really....it's not hard to understand :T

Thanks, the one thing I dont follow then is if you are still entitled to additional ncb(years 4 and 5) then you are getting back more than you paid for the ppi originally.

Am I just being stupid here as year 4 & 5 would total around £3300 bringing your total claim to over £12,000.

it is late and after a hard day at work too:rotfl:

Just refreshed my memory:D sorry it's an age thing:mad: and you are correct it is only 90% as you say.

  • Hi Guys,

Just an update - I phoned FSCS this morning who said that Deloittes have updated the system saying that they are starting calculations (although the system does not say that they have received all the info they need - Can I assume that they must have received this?)

Does anyone know how long it is likely to take now that they are at the calculation stage? I have been unable to get my case worker on the phone and will try him again later.

    Thanks in advance, K

    Hi Kazza

This is looking pretty good then, for you to be informed they are calculating - it seems they do have all the info they require, because they are unable to deal with the calculations until they do have all they need.

So I would say then in my opinion, maybe by the end of this week - once they have calculated it, the next procedure from here is passing it back to the FSCS, they will have a team there checking it, if all works out correctly, a cheque payment will then be arranged, sometimes there are a few little mistakes Deloittes can make on the calculations, if this is the case it may be sent back to them to check and calculate again, this is rare though.

So basically then if all straight forward a cheque could possibly be issued by next week.
Hopefully you will get through and they will confirm on this, good luck.;)X

Thanks Di, but it sems I am being far to optimistic! Have now spoken to caseworker at Deloitte who says that FSCS have given me wrong info. He still has my file and is still waiting for info from Premier Writers.
I have phoned Premier again today for the 2nd time in 7 days and they are insistent that they have never heard from Deloitte. Sooo frustrating.

So phoned Deloitte back who say they have definitely requested the info on 22/10. I have asked Premier anyway to send me the info directly but I'm not holding my breath and Deloitte are going to request again.

Premier have been as unhelpful as they possibly can on the phone and the lady I spoke to had a very abrupt attitude as if I was just interrupting her day with such trivialities. I have tried to find a complaint procedure for them but they do not even have a website.

So it looks as if I'm getting nowhere fast if they are going to refuse to acknowledge Deloitte's contact with them.

Any suggestions would be very welcome!!

    Thanks, K

    Hiya

Oh golly why are they always doing this!!

This seems to be procedure with them as well !!!!!

I think the main of us have been through the same, I can always remember being told they were still waiting for info, yet someone else within their dept used to say they received them and were getting on with the calculations, like i said procedure!!!

However, in the end we asked for the lender to send the details to us, they did, so then we made sure deloittes received them then by recorded post.

I would give the lender until Friday and if you've not received the paperwork, chase them up, I know its a right pain and very frustrating, but they should send these details out to you on request.
I think its been the case that many of us had to do this in the end.

Keep on at them hon XX

Thanks again Di. Will give the underwriter a call on Thursday and make sure they have posted what I need.

    Fingers crossed.

Thanks. One of the most annoying things is that I have all the info that Deloitte need as it was proided to me by the underwriter on the phone this morning (took all of 30 seconds for them to give me this). But Deloitte will not accept the info from me nor will they just phone Premier and get it.

Do you think FSCS would take the info from me and pass it on to Deloitte?

This has been 12 months now and I'm running out of patience ;)

I think we had this problem if i remember correctly, but the info they are waiting for is something to do with the "interest" up to date, but a year on you would think this would have been dealt with by now.
Especially if the business are already declared in default.

Mine had taken from about June 2008 and it was finally paid out in face a year this month Nov 2009. Yet mine had only taken a little longer because of the waiting of the business to be declared in default.

However, you could contact them and ask them "what details do they exactly require", if it is in regards of the interest, it would have to be uptodate details from the company/lender, otherwise I can't see any problem of them accepting other details. :) X
