Still????
That's been ages!
When ours were taking time, we chased the lenders about this, have you tried that one LilacPixie? The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
I have.. Lender says the info has been passed on early december, Deloittes say it hasn't been given in the correct format andjust arrgghhhhhh. Thing is its the broker who mis-sold so the lender has no vested interest in delaying proceedings KWIMMF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/20000

The fscs seem to drag all the lenders in, so this can be all time consuming, frustrating isn't it?
You feel like its not getting anywhere, stay strong and keep at them hun xxx;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
right I am confused.... very confused....
The FSCS claim lender was WFS car credit/hp department. I had several personal loans with WFS from 2002-2004 same old compulsary ppi despite employer cover need it to get loan blah blah blah anyway I complained about the lot including this car one. response was nope pee off. Some loans FOS couldn't accept complaint for due to timescales, car HP brokers responsibility who then admitted mis-selling and folded so that went to FSCS and the others WFS did the whole goodwill guesture in line with FOS calculations which I accepted.
Early december WFS write to me in maiden name going on about me not replying to prev letter. I call and say I am married as you know and never got prev letter and i move in 3 days so they need proof of new address and marriage cert. This is despite the car HP being in my name after i got married and they had copy of cert for that but anyway i email it get nowhere so eventually i print out a scanned copy of my marriage cert and council tax bill and post them it. They call on Tuesday and say they have it will update records and tell me they made an error in previous guesture that they would like to correct but can't discuss details and i will get a letter in around a week.
Today it arrived. Increasing offer by 5k lots of account numbers but no dates or amounts actually borrowed, loan types are all 'personal loans' Now I have zero idea if WFS are now accepting responsibility for mis-selling of case with FSCS because they havent told me enough detail. I calculated about 2.5k ppi on car finance from FSCS based on that so 5k is just weird plus the 'loan acc numbers' don't tally with what i had as the car HP figs.
Confused is me.MF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/20000 -
Wow, well done!
So basically you received more than expected then?
I know the interest will also add up to quite a bit too, but for you to be assured on this, write to them and ask for a detailed breakdown, otherwise yes I know what you mean by being confused about this with not knowing what is for what?
So how do you feel?:j

i am shocked.. As far as i was concerned all the WFS stuff was done and dusted with the exception of this think with the FSCS which as was via a broker so WFS was apparently not liable for.
I am now thinking woohoo 5k... what can I spend it onI have filled out the acceptance form anyway because its for 5 accounts in total so if it means they have also included the HP then great I will phone on monday and enquire.
Over all I thought i was due about 2.5k for car HP, I have been offered a fraction over 5k over 5 accounts. If that includes car HP then great I will tell the FSCS and withdraw that claim and I have 2.6k more than we thought. If if doesn't include the car HP then OMFG we have 5.1k more than we thought. Sounds stupid and dumb now but at the time of taking the loans I worked min wage 25 hours a week and was studying, there was nothing actually 'wrong' with my credit file other than no credit history and I had a lifestyle that basically i couldn't afford on my wages so I was extending loans with welcome every 12-16 weeks. PPI always included, always front loaded rule of 78 then applied to settle and new agreement etc etc. I can quite see why 5.1k figure could be correct without the car HP.
So over all I feel happy but such a bloody idiot for taking out such things in the past.
I think we will pay off a little from mortgage on house we just bought and probably replace our 2nd car with something a bit more economical.. currently its a 'hot hatch' that does 23MPG so a switch to a deisel or something with better fuel economy... I think we may even commision some nice pictures of the kids be taken... Baby due literally anytime :rotfl: I am so fat I don't actually fit in my car now :eek:MF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/20000 -
So happy for you LilacPixie and you deserve it so much!:T:beer::j
LOL, that made me laugh about the car bit lol :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:.
And hope all is going well in your new home, its all happening for you.:T
With Welcome I understand they have been sending out further payments to customers who have made reclaims, so wonder if this is anything to do with it?
With one of mine via Lloyds, we received a payout after reclaiming last year and a few months on they sent us a further payout of almost £3K as they said they previously underpaid, we think this must have had something to do with one loan settled into having another loan with them.:)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0
