  • Hi,
I called the FSCS after I had posted here, they seemed sympathetic and told me to put my points down in writing. They said that they would forward them on to Delloitte and ask them to revisit my claim with these points in mind.
The FSCS said it was ok to email, so I did. Just waiting again, now!

  • Hi again,
Well called the FOS with the question and they could not help, they directed me to the FSA.
The FSA said that if the company in question had signed up for voluntary durisdiction, then prior to the FSA taking over claims with these companies can be back dated.
However, on the question of a regulator being changed or dissolved neither the FOS or the FSA could help.
Which means, in my view, consumers need some guarantees stating from Government.
  • Another query, sorry the brain has gone into overdrive!
If a mortgage company who insists that you are charged for their buildings insurance when you have your own could be considered as fraudulent, then, couldn't the same be said for PPI where you have a single payment premium in force and the same broker arranges a monthly ppi policy with the same insurance company?
