ok, this is what I have discovered. The FOS said that Regency was covered by the FSA prior to take over for mortgages but not for insurance. However, the FSA state that they would treat retrospective claims the way they would have been treated under the Mortgage code by the mortgage arbitration scheme The mortgage code followed the Association of British Insurers General Business Code of Practice under its monitoring and compliance rules. Therefore, my understanding is that all Regency business prior to 2005 and after 1998 falls under FSA and FOS durisdiction and consequently FSCS. Any thoughts?0

Hiya
Yes that is formality and I think they also like to cover themselves on the timescales as well.
It normally doesn't take that long once its passed back to the FSCS.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Aaaagh! This is so frustrating! Advice anyone?
Made a claim to FSCS 12 months ago.
This week FSCS are saying that company default is "pending" and "imminent", "any time soon" etc so at least that part is getting there.
Deloittes have been telling me for a month that all they are waiting for is some info re the account from Swift Advances. This still had not arrived yesterday so this morning I phoned Swift myself only to be told that they have never rec'd any communication from Deloitte.
Of course, now I cannot get the case worker from Deloitte on the phone, just an answer machine.
does anyone have any idea how I can get them to move this on? It looks like it will be loads more weeks if they still need to request this info.
Many thanks0 -

Hiya
Please remind us of the company that are pending, thanks.
This happened to some of us on here too, Deloittes would state they have requested for some details from the lender or whoever they required details from and when we got in touch with the lender they would tell us the same.
I know its a nuisance, but keep on at Deloittes, you will eventually get a reply.
Have the the direct tel number to the one dealing with your case at Deloittes?
Good luck with this.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Hi Di,
It is a small broker, Loans made simple.
Mine is the 1st claim against them. The usual mis-selling pionts, PPI upfront etc.
I don't have my case workers direct no, will get when I talk to him but getting frustrated as he told me 6 weeks ago it should be settled very soon. Yet he hasn't even requested all the info he needs!0 -

Hi
I will try to find the email address I had, but think I put my details away too safe now, as mine was resolved a year ago, but if i am unable to find them, I would contact the FSCS, maybe they will be able to provide you with some details.
Good luck. The one and only "Dizzy Di"0
