I have to agree.....If the 2nd was missold then it's pretty a given that the 1st one was to. I'm just angry at myself for not spotting earlier!
At least this time I won't have to do battle with Picture directly as they have already been declared in Default by the FSCS.
Hopefully I should have an outcome pretty soon as the FSCS already have all the previous paperwork. I've been out of the loop for a while are they turning cases around any quicker now or are we still looking at 6 months?
I think they are acting quicker now Gumbi, so you should not be waiting like you did the first time round.
Give them a ring every fortnight for updates. XThe one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
We've had a phonecall today to say our claim is being assessed today! They said it will now take 3 weeks for any answers is this correct. It seems to be so long winded!:)0

Ooooh progress Purrycat. Hope your claim is settled soon!!YOUR = belonging to you (your coat); YOU'RE = you are (I hope you're ok)

Hiya
I think they mean, they have to make sure all the details are correct from the lenders mainly, before making that payout, in case of any mistakes, which can and have happened to what I remember in the past, it will all be okay and hopefully this will mean your refund will be sorted by 3 weeks, fingers crossed.;)XThe one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Hey guess what? After saying we have never had a letter, today we received a letter and a phonecall!!!! The letter just saying they are looking into our claim and the phonecall to say it was being assessed today. So I take back everything I said previously.
Yes progress at last.:T I just hope its in our favour!
Gumbi - We had 2 loans with Picture but the ppi's were with different companies. Only one was with Picture. The first company was paid off when the second ppi was taken out. Dont know if this helps!:)0 -
Great thread!
I put an application into FSCS re London Scottish in June 2010; Deloitte wrote back to confirm that London Scottish were in default etc. Then they wrote back to me on July 22nd saying that initial reviews have now been comopleted and they will therefore begin processing my claim shortly. Haven't heard anything since, neither I called them - too scared they'll tell me I won't be getting anything back!

So this cheque should be with you very shortly then!
Did you also make a reclaim on the other ppi?
It was the same for mine too and I successfully reclaimed from the broker for the first one and the lender on the loan advance loan PPI.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
