We haven't received any letters from Deloittes, only the one back in time saying that they couldn't pursue our claim. Then we rang them to say we had further information, and they asked us to send it in, nothing for about a month so we phoned them. Given a name and spoke to lady but I couldn't get hold of her a week later so went through to switchboard, found she had left - given another name, couldn't get hold of her after a week and getting frustrated went back to switchboard told she had left! Still had no letters, hoping for one next week though!!!!!!!!!!!! With cheque!!!!!!!!:) Can't wait!!!!!!:) Its been very frustrating from July 09 to now, but glad we looked into things and found the extra information that they needed.0

Hi Tom
They have a lenders code to follow - on how to treat customers fairly and should follow that, just because they made you an offer which is rightfully your own money they should not discriminate you against this!
I would google in the lenders code and maybe contact the Office of fair trading.
Good luck with this.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Guys,
It's been about year since I got my cheque from the FSCS and true to form I've blown the lot!
However I've just been through all the Picture paperwork that I found doing my anual clearout and noticed that I have made a huge blunder in my reclaim that I thought I should point out to all those still reclaiming.
The PPI that we had refunded was actually attached to a Top Up loan that we stupidly took out with Picture 6 months after the original.
What I didn't take into account in my reclaim is that the top loan included an amount to pay off a PPI from the original loan! By my calculations this was close to £10K on top of the £13K I've already had back.
Has anyone had any experience with claiming back PPI on loans where there was a top up invloved?

Hi Gumbi
Its nice to hear from you, hope your well.
It soon goes doesn't it?
Right so do you mean other loan ppi from the same company as a top up loan?
With one of mine, it was with a broker, lender Nemo, and loan advance with nemo, so I reclaimed on them both.
You can do this to, this has to be done separately anyway, so it looks like you may have another claim to solve then Gumbi?;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

We took loan 1 with PPI and then topped up with loan 2...both from Picture.
In order to get loan 2 we needed to pay off loan 1 which of course included the amount for the original ppi.
The money I had back last year was for the PPI on loan 2 so from I can understand I think I can make a new claim for the PPI on loan 1.
The FSCS seem to agree and are looking into it at the moment but I'm sure I'm not the only one that this applies to....How the hell did things get so complex?
Worst case I suppose is that they say I have no case which means I've lost nothing, however if it transpires that I do have a case I could be looking at another payout!!!!!:rotfl:
Funny thing is I would never have twigged if Picture hadn't sent me a snotty letter in error prompting me to did out some old paperwork....go figure:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -

Hmmm, the way I look at it Gumbi, if they mis sold on the one resolved by the FSCS, then it will be the same for the other, but I had to pursue the broker for the first one, which was actually TWOPART limited and that was the one resolved through the FSCS, cos they went bust.
The loan advance Nemo, that was resolved first, and as they are still running it was dealt with direct by them.
Good luck with this then, please keep us informed.:TThe one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

I have to agree.....If the 2nd was missold then it's pretty a given that the 1st one was to. I'm just angry at myself for not spotting earlier!
At least this time I won't have to do battle with Picture directly as they have already been declared in Default by the FSCS.
Hopefully I should have an outcome pretty soon as the FSCS already have all the previous paperwork. I've been out of the loop for a while are they turning cases around any quicker now or are we still looking at 6 months?0
