My claim is against picture financial and reading some of the comments on here it appears that things are going really well regarding winning claims. I dont think i have read of any rejections by FSCS yet.

Everybody appears to have been paid from Picture so I just cannot see why you should be any different. I'ts just a case of working out your figures. I think they have made a blanket decision that anyone with a claim against them will be paid out.
    Good luck

  • I originally sent my initial enquiry questionnaire away to FSCS over a week ago and as i had not heard anything i gave them a call. the guy on the phone said it had not been logged onto the system yet but generally this could take up to 2 weeks to show on their systems.

I am curious what will happen next, will I be given a further questionnaire to complete or will my case be reviewed and hopefully passed to Deloitte to review.

Also a general timeline of somones claim would be really good.

    Thanks
We sent an initial enquiry by post to start with too, but after three weeks of it still being not on the system we filled out an initial enquiry form on the site and sent it off, it was very quick from then onwards,, about a week later we had an application form through and sent that straight back with all the docs and then we had the cheque yesterday so

7th June:sent initial enquiry form off recorded delivery
9th June: was received by fscs
12th July filled out online initial enquiry form(every time i phoned was told it was not on system yet)
25th July:received application form, posted back same day
27th July: Deloittes sent us a letter to say they were dealing with our case and if we had any questions blah blah
13th August:deloittes waiting for info from Picture
20nd August:Deloittes were expecting info to arrive from picture that day, or early the next week
3rd September:FSCS had our claim back and were planning on printing off the cheque on the 8th September
9th September:Received cheque by 1st class normal mail, big white A4 envelope.

  • Skeeter a weird qs how long is the chq taking to clear? Is it just a normal 3 days or longer? Lx

It is taking 5 days !!! arghh, but all cheques we pay into our bank take 5 days.

Delighted that everything has worked out well

Thanks for the progress report. I think i will complete the form online just now to save the hassle of waiting another week and then having to do the form again.

Going by your timeline I should hopefully be looking for a final response by xmas, now that would be a great present.

    Thanks

I hope so.....my application was received by Deloitte's last week so hopefully it's just a question of sitting tight and waiting.
YOUR = belonging to you (your coat); YOU'RE = you are (I hope you're ok)

really....it's not hard to understand :T

Fingers crossed Suzy, maybe the remainder of you still waiting will receive your payouts in the next one, which i assume the next batch will be next week.;)

Really sorry it hasn't worked out.
Do you still have the original letter? I would take further as you followed their instructions. What were their reasons for the error?

We've had final decision by FSCS- they didn't realise we were due NCB this year, so figures they quoted were incorrect, even though we checked and double checked the facts with them. Therefore, even though they admit their error.... it's tough really.
Can not believe they can get away with this. Haven't we been through enough already? Weren't they supposed to support and help us?
does anyone know who regulates them?
