The total compensation loss amounts to £7,661.36 as at 27 August 2010, of which £7,295.22 is payable. This is because FSCS can only pay 90% of the loss above £2,000 on any claim against the same firm per person.
YOUR CLAIM
the compensation has been calculated as follows:
Original PPI premium £5,489.00
Plus:Interest. (this is the amount of interest your lender has already charged you to date on the amount of the premium) £2,227.56
Less:Benefits received. (this is the amount you have already received from the insurer, for example, an amount you have claimed or a no claim rebate)
Less:rebate due upon cancellation(this is the value of the policy if you decide to cancel it. You will need to contact the insurer and arrange to do this direct £105.92
Plus:A reasonable rate of return(this amount is to compenstae you for the monthly payments you have made in respect of the PPI premium£50.72
Equals:Compensation figure £7,661.36.
The cheque is for £7295.22 !!! so so happy I might have a dance ! :j:j:j0 -
