Just got a call from fscs! They r now contacting my mortgage company and my claim should only b bout 4 wks now!

That's great news, Keira. It might be an idea to contact mortgage company yourself also, just to gee them along.

  • I was thinking that busby! They man at deloittes said he has sent them a letter today, so I was gonna leave it til tues then chase them along!! I presume deloittes wouldn't do all this work if it wasn't going to b paid out so I'm now thinking about when rather than if!! Lol x

Yes, we have written a letter of complaint which they should have received at the beginning of the week. We kept every piece of correspondence, including emails, so we have a good case, which makes it all the more confusing why they're refusing to pay out the last of the NCBs.
Their reason for cancelling cheque was, we had had what was due to us already because they didn't realise we got a NCB this year. We hadn't expected £5000, so can understand this error, but we should still something!!

We've had a response from FSCS and it's not good. Basically, they admit they advised us wrongly to cancel PPI, but since we've had all we're due they can't do anything about it, no matter how much they sympathise. They then offered us a cheque for £100 as a gesture of goodwill!?!! Needless to say, we've written another letter of complaint, refused the cheque and this time, we've worded it that we want compensation from FSCS, as opposed to Picture.
  • Hi just a quick qs, I take it now that deloittes r getting info from my mort company etc that my claim will b successful? I'm presuming they wouldn't do all that work if they weren't goin to pay out? Wot do u all think? L

    Hi Keira.
I'm sure it is a case of when also. It's just that the BS's can drag their heels. They did with us and it was real pain. But we got there in the end.
    Good Luck

Hi Di, I'm fine thanks. Haven't been able to reply to many posts lately as the 'old hands' have been giving me jip- Carpel Tunnel Syndrone- really painful. Think it's all the years I have been doing keyboard work. Just waiting for some cortisone jabs, and hope they help.
Di I was reading some posts on the other site yesterday and have I got it right that your dear Dad passed away. I am so sorry if this is so.If i'm wrong I do apologise.
    Please let me know.

    Hi Busbyh
I am so sorry to learn you have that horrible painful condition, this is what one of my older sisters suffer from, and the pain I know can be horrific.
I do hope the pain gets less and less for you, good luck honey.

Yes that is correct, Dad passed away on the 11 July at the General hospital aged 69, it was the pneumonia that finished him, despite him having other critical conditions.
Missing dad like mad, but he's at peace now and no more pain.:A

Hope you feel better soon, XXXXXXXXXX

I am so sorry di, I know he suffered and as you say he is now out of pain, but 69 is so,so young. It is quite often the pneumonia that does it.
As you say he is now out of pain and i'm sure you have lots of good memories of him.
    Take care

I knew a lovely poem and if I can remember the words I will post it up. You may know it, it goes something like,
God walked around his garden and looks at all his flowers, He cares for every one of them, some of which are ours.
He cares for and he nurtures them every sigle day ............................
Will have to try and remember it all
