Hi, I went ahead and posted it this morning, but I only completed the form and I didnt sent any corres, I re-read the email and they didnt ask, so I think they will now contact me for this info lol I probably would have saved time by just doing it, it did say it was an initial questionare so maybe they are just seeing if theres enough to go ahead and claim against them.
Thanks for your help.

Hi Shaz
When we completed the forms, although its been some time now, and resolved too, but I can recall just sending them the copies of the info, but also remember when the FSCS moved it on to Deloittes (who helps the FSCS through the claims), it may be them that will request for further details later on.;)
I'm sure they will contact you in due course to let you know what is what and they also supply you with a claim ref number, I assume you already have this?:)

Hi Shaz, I think it mentions about copies etc in the information leaflets they send with the application form, but as ou have downloaded this, you won't have the extra info. I would gather toogether copies of Agreement and any corrspondence you may have rcd from Picture regarding interest rate changes etc. In fact anything you have ever rcd from them. The more info you provide, the better for you.
Even though you have posted your form you can still send it off. Just remember to put your Picture ref on it.
Good luck

Thank you everyone - we received our compensation today!!!!
Only a month after sending in the form to the FSCS, we have received our compensation and it's thanks to all your comments on this thread.
I don't post much but I have been an avid reader of this forum and it was through this that I realised that we could claim compensation for being mis-sold a PPI from Picture.
Me and OH are now going to have a little holiday - we haven't had one for ages so we have booked three nights in a hotel in Devon!:T:T:T:T0 -

Hi guys, thanks for your replies, you say about downloading it..well tonight I have gave up trying to get it to work so I have printed it and am completing it the now and was just going to post it in...I think this should be okay?? I have basically said about having no idea that we were paying interest for a full 15 years on insurance which only lasted for five years................aahh this is harder than I thought :-(
Hi shaz
The reasons I used were,- SINGLE PREMIUM POLICY. ie adding the cost to the loan and having to pay for 25yrs for something that only covered me for five.
- Was not told I could shop around for cheaper Insurance.
- Pre existing medical conditions.
- Only first on Policy covered for Sick/unemployment and Redundacy.
Good luck

Hi all, I am a newbie here and i am just starting to claim back the PPI from Picture that we took out in 2006. We have sent off the initial enquiry form and have been told that there is an application form on its way to us and that we should send this back with any relevant paper work, the woman i spoke to yesterday told me that it can anything up to 9 months to process our claim, but we have spoken to about 5 different people there already and they all say something different.
The reason we are claiming the PPI back is because we were told when taking the loan out we had to have the insurance, we didnt realise that the premium was only for 5 years but we would be paying for it over the 25, we also got told it would be like a way of saving because we would get money back in years 3,4 and 5 (we didnt get this because we had a few late payments), also its a joint mortgage but the policy only really covers my husband, although the accidental death on it is pointless because that only works if you are between 65 and 70 and he is 33 the only bit of the policy that is of any use to us at all would be the life cover but at 33 you would hope the only chance of using that would be accidental death ? Anyway hoping we have a case and that it wont take as long as 9 months to get our money back.

Hi Skeeter....
Your story sounds almost identical to mine!! And we have just had our PPI refunded in full - minus the No claims rebate we are due in September.
Although I class ourselves as reasonably intelligent folk, we didn't realise that we would be paying interest on the PPI for for full length of the loan but the Insurance only covered my husband for 5 years! We were also told that we were strongly advised to take the PPI or we might not be accepted. And we were given the line that 'it is a good way to save as you get money back after 3, 4 and 5 years! Maybe we had the same salesperson!
Just make sure you state on your form that you were given no option to look elsewhere for PPI, that you weren't made aware that the premium was to be added to the loan and you would therefore be paying the interest long after the cover has expired.
We also pointed out on the form that we actually didn't need the insurance as my husband and I were both covered by HSBC income protection insurance at the time.
State that you believe you have been unfairly treated as they took advantage of your financial situation at the time.
Good luck and keep us informed.
By the way - we had our cheque just a month after submitting our form to Deloittes.:j
Thanks everyone else for your best wishes - yes me and my husband are looking forward to our first holiday in a quite a few years - just a midweek break to Devon in August (we resisted the urge to book a fornight in the Maldives!!) but at last we can relax and enjoy it knowing we have paid for it and its not on a credit card!0
