Been checking the site often but it appears to have gone very quiet. Wonder if it means everyone has been paid out - hope so!
Bodkins if you are out there, how did you get on with your claim.

Hi Di
Hope you and yours are well. Long time, no speak. I have been busy lately with one thing and another.
I'm hoping most have been paid out now from Picture, the name still haunts me!!!!.
I was curious how Bodkins got on as it is a long time since he last posted.
Take care

Hi folks,
I have been having a look through some of the comments on this thread. I have a secured Picture loan and was horrified to find out I have to pay the insurance for the whole 15 year period.
I contacted fscs who have emailed a claims form, my first problem is that its on adobe reader and wont let me type in it, I have checked security etc but everything seems fine, should I just try print it and send it this way??
I also said on my original email to them about the insurance for the 15 years and also went into details about how I curretnly dont have life insurance as when realised not covered then I had to start contacting a life insurance company who are doing checks with GPs etc although original paperwork said they would rearrange it for us which cant happen (and we wouldnt want to at their rates). Anyhow should I go into mega details or just stick to the 15 year thing?? I dont know how much information they are looking for when they ask about why we feel we were mis-sold????
I would be grateful for any help??
Thanks

Hi Shaz
They did not email me with a form but sent it by hardcopy through the post.
I would let the FSCS know tomorrow or when convenient for you and see what they suggest, they may decide to send one by post for you instead.;)
Basically, these type of policies are costly and a total rip off, which is why they stopped selling this type of insurance now, you do have a good reason and the FSCS have of course paid out due to the reason of having a long term loan and ppi that only protects for about 5 years, where you will still be paying on it for the remainder of the loan.
However, any information you give them will be taken into consideration, if you do have other reasons then also add them as well.
Hope this helps, all should be fine.
Good luck.:)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
