Hi, I am quite new to this site and any advise would be good....
I basically went with a claims company who is dealing with the FSCS/Deloittee for Pitcure Financial..... (I had already entered the agreement with the 3rd party prior to having knowledge of this site or Picutre going into defalt)..... Anyway, I received a letter in August 2009 from Deloitte stating that initial reviews had been completed and will begin processing the claim.
From about September to March 2010, I have been asked to provide an incredible amount of infomation e.g. proof that the loan had been paid of in two installments, proof of the loan I took out to pay of the loan and that the second charge had been removed and my ex-partner had also been removed, interest rates on my new loan and if I was in an IVA or DMP as I was behind with payments on my new loan... All of this has been provided, but I am not getting any updates from Deloitte on my case, even the company who is acting on my behalf is not getting any response, even when leaving messages with the case worker.
Can anyone advise - do you think I stand a good chance of obtaining monies back after asking for all this information!! I am currently behind on my new loan and other debts trying to sort this out and now and giving up hope.....
If I had known about this site prior, I would have done it all myself and it is fantastic and you are all very helpful and support and congratualtions to all the others on there claims.

Hi there, well I think you stand a good chance to be honest, and in regards of Picture the main of them who have had dealings with these through the FSCS are on here and I'm sure they will post up some useful advice on this for you.
I note you said you are using a company, do you mean a claims company?
I am not too sure on how these work, because even though I sent details over a year ago to a claims company I withdrawn my case and had a go myself.
However, there is no harm in you chasing Deloittes and the FSCS up on this for updates, especially if your not hearing much of this case.
I do not have Deloittes tel number on hand right now, but if you contact the FSCS who also deal with your case alongside with Deloittes, they should be able to confirm where your case stands right now, such as its been passed back to them, or still with Deloittes.

Good luck with this, fingers crossed for you, and I'm sure you will receive further help and advice on this over the following days.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Thank you Di3004, I do mean a a claims company who I went with the back in April 2009 and they then advised me after a few months that the case was on hold due to waiting to see if Picture went into default, so I decided to stay with them at that time, but if I had known this site was here, would definately had given it a bash myself.
I hope I hear something soon... thanks again0 -

Hi
I have just rang the FSCS direct (thank you Di3004) and they have advised me that the claim has been returned to them from Deloitte with all the necessary information, but can not give me any timescales or indication if it has been successful and to ring again in 2-3 weeks for a progress report.
I am exceptionally nervous now...... Do Deloitte recommend the success of a claim or is this purely decided by the FSCS, does anyone know how long it takes for a decision once it has been returned to FSCS. Are Deloitte not also able to tell us there recommendation!
Thank you ALL0 -

Hi and your welcome.;)
Deloitte never let on a lot, they are just basically there to help out the FSCS with calculations etc, and they are then checked by the FSCS team of the amounts and will decide the decision, but I'm sure yours is okay, you would have heard way by now.:)
Its just a matter of time now, so in your case contact them at least once a week for an update.
The FSCS will normally confirm when completed and when the cheque is made out to be sent out.
Do not worry you will be fine.:)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Hi Di3004, thanks again for your response..... So if Deloitte did not think there was a claim would they have advised me or would it have still gone back to the FSCS to advise?
Do the FSCS also recheck all the information supplied or do Deloitte give there recommendation to the FSCS to make the decision.
Sorry for all the questions, but like so many others this has been a very long haul and a lot of telephone calls etc to various area's to get the information they requested.
Also, as the loan is paid off would I potentially get full PPI back or a small %.
Thanks again.0 -

Hi there
Mine was in regards of a different loan company but the procedures works out the same.
And not a problem,.
Mine was resolved before Christmas, so a few months back now.
If I remember correctly, as you know your claim first goes to the FSCS, then as soon as they receive the info they require from you they move it on to Deloittes, Deloittes then may require further information from you, where they will send you all the details, or to the claims company your using in your case.
I think Deloittes does decide the decision, then gets on with all the calculations, so if anything was amiss or they did not think you had a case then they would let the FSCS know and they would let you know, (I think you would have heard by now, so I should not worry).;)
Then once all the work is complete and Deloittes have made their calculation, they forward all your details back to the FSCS.
The FSCS have a team to check through all the information, and the calculations, if anything is missed, they will therefore pass the info back to Deloittes, this have happened to many of us, but its not a problem.
Once all finalised and completed by both teams, they then send your details on to the team who makes the refunds, this may be on the queing system, if it takes too long, I think it has to be calculated all over again, because you would be owed interest as well.
Now to what I can recall, many have still made a successful claim for maybe sickness and unemployments and have still made a successful reclaim for the PPI, they would then just reduce the amount of what is owed.
I am sure there are updates on limits of what they pay out on the FSCS website, I cannot totally remember now the amounts, but you do not lose a lot of it, you will probably have a lovely surprise.:)
Check out for more infor and updates on the FSCS website, there should be info on payouts on there:
http://www.fscs.org.uk/what-we-cover/eligibility-rules/compensation-limits/
Please do not worry, all should be okay.:)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0
