Eeek. Have just been reading through the form and it states "we ask you to return your completed form within 6 months of the date you received it. If you wait longer than this, time limits may prevent us from considering your claim".
Oh gosh...I feel really worried now. 6 months from when they sent it would have expired sometime in August last year. Those months were such a blur with OH emigrating, having to sort out her house and furnishings. I don't even know where I would have put the form if I did receive it.
I suppose the only glimmer of hope is that the woman from the FSCS would have said straight away if there was no chance of my case being re-opened wouldn't she?YOUR = belonging to you (your coat); YOU'RE = you are (I hope you're ok)
really....it's not hard to understand :T0 -

You will be fine, I think they would have said to you on the phone otherwise, and with them sending a new form they must treat this as a new case, so no worries.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Thanks. I am just worried as I have only just realised the amount of money that we could get back and to have jeopardised that would be unthinkable.
Thanks for your words of reassurance.YOUR = belonging to you (your coat); YOU'RE = you are (I hope you're ok)

Hi all. hope all is well and I see the fight is continuing.
Apologies if Ive been a bit slack recently, but family matters abroad needed to be tended to. (spanish probate laws OMG!!!) I have now returned to UK 12 weeks after and am working my way through mountains of mail and getting to grips again with the various stages of reclaims Ive got going on.
To those of you that may remember. I had a problem with the NCB aspect of my claim in that they deducted it from my rebate. This I believe to be wrong and wrote a complaint to FSCS voicing my concern.
I think a couple of other PICTURITES this had happened to also. Well amongst my many letters was a final response letter from FSCS stating that they are correct in how they calculate rebates and basically tough cookie and informing me that they govern themselves so I have no option other than to accept what they state.
Apologies, but I was wondering if the others had received similar letters or had taken further action. I started going through the 1000's of posts since my leaving in the new year but its taking far too long.
So in a nutshell, can somebody bring me up to speed. Many thanks. If you see a penny, pick it up, all day long you'll have good luck !!!!!!0 -

Hi Barloo,
I have recently had success against loanmakers.
My compensation was also minus the ncb that I should be due to receive from the lender f/plus may 2011.
I have not yet cancelled my ppi but I have made the decision to go ahead and now do this. fscs have given me a figure that they will compensate me with once i provide evidence that I have cancelled the policy and this is in addition to the amount I have already rec'd.0
