    Hi Bushby,

If you don't mind I will probably PM you but it won't be until the weekend because I have only hand written my thoughts for this section so far.

I will type it up tonight/tomorrow then send it if that's alright?

Funny I have used the same reasons ie Single Premium Policy covering only 5 years and the first named person. I really didn't realise at the time this was the case with the PPI and did fill that it was looked upon as a required element for the loan request to be accepted!

Thanks for help and I will be in touch again soon.

    Thanks,

I phoned FSCS on Thursday as I still hadn't received my form (emailed requesting it on 23rd March) to be told that I had already been sent one in Feb 2009!!!!

I really don't remember requesting (or receiving one) but they were adamant that they had sent one and also chasing letters and that, as they had not received anything back, my case had been closed.

I apologised and said I really didn't remember receiving it so they have now sent me a new form (received this morning :)) but they said I need to write a covering letter when I send this form back, explaining the huge delay.

I feel so stupid now and hope I haven't jeopardised my claim. What can I say to them?

    Hi there Suzy

Sorry to hear of the messing around your having here.

Silly thing is you would not be requesting for a form if you received it, so its possible it went to the wrong address, so its possibly Royal Mail's fault and no fault of your own!

This should not jeaopardise your claim, just write a short cover note and thank them for sending you the form you require to make your reclaim, and you understand a form was sent to you as informed by the FSCS, which you believe was mis laid through the post.
Tell them you are concerned it did not reach you and are also thinking about writing the the Royal Mail about this matter.

I would not worry hun, it should all be okay, most of the time its that of the post.;)

    Good luck.

    Thanks di.

It is possible I received it but had such a lot of stuff going on last year (including OH thinking of going to work abroad to clear our debts faster as the pay is so much better) that I can't remember.

I will fill the form in over the weekend and take with me when I go to visit her in HK in a few days' time (:)).
