Hello I hope you are all well- i have not been on this site for a fair few months following my win against Picture, we decided that we were not going to pay the money off the loan, we needed to sort some bits in the house and i needed a car!!
My question now is- will i still get a no claims payout in september when its due? I have already received one and need to find out if we will get the other 2?? can anyone help :)

    Hi funky,
As far as I am aware from what has been said at FSCS, you will still get next your next NCB. Did the fscs deduct your first one from your settlement figure.
Apparantley they have said if you receive NCB after pay out then it's yours and they can do nothing about it.
I know they have been reviewing the way they handled the ncb but don't know what their decison was.
Barloo was appealing about his being deducted from settlement, but haven't heard from him for awhile

My lot decided to pay off their huge credit card bill and breathe a sight of releif. It would have taken them about 20 years to pay it off otherwise, and still had some over to sort the car out and a little treat.
One headache they are glad to be rid of

  • Have just spoken to Anna at Deloittes.

She has sent me the forms to fill in again.

When I spoke to them originally I told them that the loan was in joint names but they only wanted my partner to complete the forms.
Now she tells me that she needs me to complete the forms and send them back.
I am annoyed about this and she apologised for the mix up. She did say though as soon as they get these forms back she would send them to the FSCS

Hi Showergirl, what a palavar for you.

When you do this get it photocopied just in case, unfortunately they lost mine and hubbies details a few times, I'm not saying the same will happen to you or anyone else but at least by keeping copies of everything they send you, you have them on hand just as a safety measure.
    Good luck with this.;)

I can't believe they have done this. Did you put any of your details on the form at all.It beggars belief.
Have you got a copy of the original to ensure you put the same reasons down for the missell.

I have not kept any copies of the original forms (I could kick myself for this)

They only wanted my hubbies details on the form and one of the reasons I complained was that the ppi only only covered hubby and not myself and they have now told me that the insurance is in both our names and that is why they need me to complete the form.

The only details they have for me is that I was put down as the point of contact.

I am sure that I have the original e-mail that I sent to complain to the FSCS

Is it the complete form you need to fill in?
Don't worry, just put doesn't as many reasons as possible, I don't suppose it has to be exactly the same. You are entitled to put your own reasons down.
I just can't believe they have only just noticed this. I would have thought things would get better with FSCS not worse.
    Good luck

Couldn't they just put an amendment to the form, adding your name etc. if you were to send a covering letter!!

  • I have found the e-mail I sent when I put in my claim and I did tell them that it was a joint loan.

The reasons I put for the mis-sell are

It only covered 5 years even though we would be paying for 15

I was not told we could purchase cover elsewhere

It only covered my partner and not myself ( althogh now I have been told it also covers me)

Do you think this will have any effect on my claim

I am really starting to worry now
