I hope you're right. We're getting really desperate for the money now & could really do with getting it soon.

I think I'll give Anna a call tomorrow to make sure that they have the details of both loans just in case.

Mine might not have been in Mondays batch, I don't know how often they expect the batches to come in (weekly/fortnightly)?

Also could someone advise on how I work out how much to expect, my ppi was £19,960 taken in Dec 05. I have received NCD of £4,800.

It seems like the claims that have been settled deducted the NCD off the payments, however, it would appear that they have had further discussions about it, but we don't know what the outcome is.

My PPI was about £11,000 & we've had about £3500 back (£1800 of that in Dec 09 after the claim was logged with the FSCS) so I'm in the same boat as you.

So when Deloittes have all the info they send it back to the FSCS who will make a decision.

Please correct me if I am wrong

Just noticed I have another star
  • hi guys,
i am another picture casualty (dumb enough to take out a loan in 2006). I have been following your amazing journey with these rip-off merchants and have finally taken the steps to claim back the miss selling of the ppi. I rang picture on Monday and it was confirmed i (like everyone else) only have 5 yrs insurance but paying for it 15 yrs, I explained i was not told this to which there reply was it was in the paperwork you signed. I then sent martin's first letter and got a reply Wednesday saying :
    ;thankyou for your letter, please pass on your complaint to FSCS who will investigate;
they also sent back my original letter.
Is there anyone who can advise me is this now the norm?
My technology skills are not to good so sorry for any mistakes.
All of your previous messages have given me the kick i need to try and get my money back........................thankyou

You need to write to the FSCS, who will send you a form to fill in. I applied by e-mail as they lost my original letter. In the e-mail I put my reasons for the mis selling one being that it only covered 5yrs but would be paying over 15yrs.
They will then investigate this for you

Good luck and if you need any advice there are plenty who will help you on this site
  • will complete form by e-mail to get things rolling.............. thanks - its good to know there are other in the same situation - cheers!
  • The thing that worries me most is they have the stuff from our first loan and now must wait for the second which could be a matter of weeks or a couple of months, this is turn will have a knock on effect with all the calculations they have made.
I have this dreadful feeling that mine will run and run. On an aside when I blew my stack at picture yesterday and told them they are just being pathetic not sending the stuff for the second loan, I informed them I would be applying for an IVA which would have a knock on effect regarding their money (I actually told him to go screw himself if he thinks they are getting another penny from me, the wife was not best impressed and in hindsight it wasn't one of my brighter moves and I don't feel any better for it) but the cheeky !!!!!! only went and advised me to contact a debt advice company that picture recommend and work directly with them so as to ensure they get the best arrangement.
