Re the issue about the NCB, it does seem ridiculous that this wasn't thought through before any payments were calculated. I will be interested to hear the outcome on this but I wonder if it will affect previous claims. Didn't netabc say that the FSCS told her it was unfortunate but tough re the NCB?

I hope everyone waiting hears something positive soon.

Hi chickpee. I too await the outcome of this NCB saga and yes netabc was told exactly that. Just doesnt seem fair does it.

  • I cancelled my ppi before I was due my ncb so it shouldn't really affect me. I hope that all the claims are not held up due to this (sorry if that seems a little selfish) but I do hope common sense prevails on this one , I would like to think it would but won't be holding my breathe.
Just tried to ring my contact at do littles and no answer I really wish I hadn't decided to pack in smoking 4 days ago I am more than a little tense, but hey ho what's another day. I assume that the longer this drags on the bigger the amount of interest they have to pay out so surely it's in the interest of fscs to push these through?
Please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

    Hi guys

Was just browsing the forum as I do every day and noticed that considering how many people are applying for their PPI back, not many have actually been paid out. Wonder why?

My Twopart Ref number is under 10, does that mean I was one of the earlier ones to put my claim in? if so, wonder why I am STILL waiting nearly two years on! Deloittes are saying they are still waiting for information back from our mortgage company. Something to do with figures. They haven't mentioned that they are waiting for info from Firstplus. Deloitttes have said that as soon as the info is back, it will get passed to a senior claims handler then sent back to FSCS. I keep thinking we are nearing the end, then we enter another month. Its really getting me down now.

    Hi there

    Hope your well.

Mine with Twopart ltd was Ref number 1, it was about June/July 2008 I first put in a claim, and Twopart as you are aware went into default a few months back.
However, mine have been dealt with and paid out not long before Xmas, but I did request for this on a priority tracking due to my mortgage arrears and other issues, where they did agree to deal with this under the fast tracking system.

If your in any hardship, let them know.

Hope you and everyone else hears some good news soon, and a tip is to ring up your mortgage provider and request for a statement, ask if they can post directly to you, then you fax or email by attachment to deloittes, we done this and they got on with it then.

We also remortgaged to settle the loan which is why they required the mortgage details.;)

    Good luck. X

As your NCB is not an issue, I can't see how this will hold up your claim.
Good for you with the smokes. If you can stop now with all this stress, you are doing well, keep it up. (wish I could)!!

That is so much to lose:mad: So so unfair. I feel really gutted for you !!
Is there any other avenue you can go down with this one. This surely cannot be right.

Wonder if barloo did get the same letter!

Just phoned Deloitte to see if they had heard anything back from our mortgage company. Said they still hadn't so I asked what it was they was waiting for in case we had anything we could help with i.e statement etc. The lady confirmed that there were quite a few things so it would be easier for her to email me. She bloody better!

She said even if we have the info that they still require it from northern rock themselves, so suggested that I chase it up with Northern Rock myself. Which of course i will as soon as the email comes through. I just want this sorting.

We aren't in harship as such as we aren't in mortgage arrears or anything. Just extremely broke!

    I'll keep you posted.

The info Deloitte require from Northern Rock:

The total loan amount - Does that mean the total which we remortgaged at?
The rates of interest applied to the loan from inception, including the dates they were applied - The rate we remortgaged at? this will be on a mortgage statment won't it?
The amount of any redemption fee that would be payable in the event that the premium element is repaid to the loan - Would there be a redemption fee if we paid a chunk off?

now i'm even more confused. Don't know who to contact at Northern Rock either.

    Any suggestions?
